Its day 13 for me and all of a sudden, I'm really struggling this afternoon. I remember now why I drink. My life is a complete mess and I am overwhelmed about how to fix it. I don't feel good physically or mentally and I just want a drink. Ugh.
(((Soberjoy))) Early sobriety is tough, physically and mentally. OT is right....remember why you quit and move forward. Your craving will pass and you'll be that much further along on picking up the pieces of your life.
Check in with your body---are you Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired? Eat something warm and healthy or not so healthy but gooey & good, take a long warm bath, take a nap, binge on movies, drink lots of water, take a walk, do something good for you.
It gets so much better--Promise!! Hang in there.

Hey I just realized it's day 13 for me too! We can do this! I'm spring cleaning and decluttering today and at one point I actually thought 'geez I could use a drink'! Now I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I think the HALT idea is great. Clearly I was feeling anxious. You are definitely NOT alone!!!
Remember why you quit and never forget why you won't Don't lose all those days you've fought for!
