Snoozy, well done on two months!

I've been really anxious and irritable over the past week or so. I don't know what is going on, but it's very uncomfortable, but I don't feel like drinking over it.
We had the first meeting/read through of the play last night. It was ok, but I felt very anxious. I've a lot of lines to learn, it's a very fast paced script, I'll have to work hard. Feeling old and alone, but trying to accept it. That guy cancelling bothers me more than I thought it would. But relationships aren't all easy! My girlfriends fiancé still hasn't addressed the cat issue, and she told me today that he gets really upset if she talks on the phone with her guy friends. She has a lot, many she's known since high school. She's worried about her fiancé being controlling. I've lost a great deal of respect for him already over the cat, but I don't like his current attitude with my friend.
Then my sister face timed me in a crisis meltdown over the weekend over issues in her marriage. I supported her as best I could.
I think I should probably be thankful for quiet time to myself!

Hi Leshar.

As awful as it is to feel irritable and uncomfortable, it is pretty amazing that we can get through these feelings these days and not want to drink. I know it makes me very proud of myself!

I'm sure you will be able to learn all of your lines, and I just know you wil be wonderful in that play. Practice, practice, practice.....maybe we can help?

I was just talking to a friend in another thread about feeling old, and how it can be scary. I go through that now as well, and some days it really gets to me. Other days, like today, the postie (mail-man) asked me out, so how funny.

It sounds like your sister demands a lot of your attention; I have one like that. But mine is not very happy with me right now because I told her I have talked about her 'stuff' enough, and she needs to move on. Oops.

Here's to some lovely quiet time for us all this weekend.

And I know this will sound nuts, but he handed me my mail, which I then touched, and I can still smell alcohol....just the tiniest whiff. I am going to throw out the mail.

It's been years since I've smelt this smell....I like to call it whisky soaked in aftershave.

I had a horrible nightmare last night, nothing to do with the play, but it was horrible, I was being attacked. Larry used to wake me from nightmares and hold me. I miss him.
It's a dreary rainy day here. Tikis having a lie in !
