24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 112
5:54 am in Ky!
Here's to a terrific Thursday!
"The essence of true forgiveness is the giving up of all hope of having a better past." ~Gerald Janpolsky Today I will not entertain the thought of trying fixing my past, trying to create excuses for my past, or trying to help you understand my past. It is what it is. Accept it, learn from it, forgive, it and leave it where it should be, in the past.

Great message, Key; thanks.
Hope that your day off speeds your recovery, mcflurry!!! Whatever is going around this year has 'staying power'.
Yes, several times!!!!
Great message, vanaprastha; thank you.
Hi, sorry I have already posted but just thought I would check in. It's 1:30pm here.
This is my day one and luckily I have had no commitments today and have been able to spend most of my free time exploring threads and binge watching Netflix. My anxiety did rise a bit at the supermarket earlier as I feel all things alcohol are screaming at me lately.
So strategies for my first 24 hours - Netflix, Xbox, Diet Cherryade, mindful colouring, spending time on SR, it's a beautiful day so I might go for a walk (or I might go to the gym.)
I'm so looking forward to my husband getting in from work. I feel great relief when he comes home.
My only concern is getting through this 24 hours and I'm not getting carried away with myself or thinking any further ahead than that.
Keep going everyone.

Even crazy days mix well with sobriety!!!! Congrats on 47 days, ZeldaFan.
Forgot to check in this morning. I'm in bed now so I can say I made it another 24 hours. Best part of the day was walking past the booze aisle in Target multiple times and not even getting a feeling in my stomach or a drinking fantasy in my head. AV played nice today and for that I am grateful.
