Class of July 2013 Part 30
Your post was not self-indulgent, Snooz. Geez!xx
I remember crying and ranting a lot in the shower when I first got sober. It felt a bit weird at first, but LB you are right, it's 100% better than drinking.
Our feelings are meant to be expressed in healthy ways. Give me a little rant in the shower with tears any day over drinking!

I understand your reservations Leshar, but in the end, it's good you get to see the play if you want to see the play
It's not like you're committing to anything else but an evening at the theatre
enjoy!

Hello everybody!
I'll have to read back through all the post.
Even if I don't comment much, know I'm reading your post and keeping you all in my thoughts.
Dee, thanks for your comments. I'm sure it will be a pleasant evening out.
Last day of kitty care. I bundled the poor little cat up in towels and brought her upstairs yesterday so she could have some daylight. It made me feel better at least.
I saw a doc on tv last night Girls Night Out about the culture of binge drinking among young women. Clubbing, hooking up with guys and very often having sexual encounters without fully being able to give consent. It was sad to see the pressure these very young women put on themselves to try to be "perfect".

Poor little kitty; I feel so badly for him/her.
Im going to leave a note for my friends fiancé about the cat. She needs to be released from her pain. It's more than time. If he doesn't follow through, I'm afraid there will be a rift in my friendship with my friend. I don't know why she's become so deferential to her fiancé. She's changed since she's been with him. I emailed her about my concern about the cat, and she responded that her fiancé needs to be ready, that the cat has been a companion for many years he was on his own. Heck, he doesn't even spend any time with her in her dark basement prison!

It must stink in that basement. And I mean literally. It may cause a rift with your friend, Leshar, I'd be ready for that. I really admire that you are speaking out about it.
P.s. Go to the theatre with Mark. Nothing romantic has been mentioned, so why feel bad.
Even if it had, why feel bad? You're a big girl.
