Good morning everyone, Thank God for waking up not hungover! I have a meeting with my corporate leader this morning at 9! I'm very nervous about it because I don't have nearly the stuff done and in place that I should. I've been too sick to get it done. I'm going to try not to get all worried about it. I'll go in early and get a few more things in place and try to put a good face on it all. Then, over this weekend I'm going to get caught up and try to make a plan to stay that way. I can't possibly do my job when I'm drinking. I have to make a stay sober plan and stick to it. Thanks to whoever sent me the link to Dee's stay sober plan examples, I'm going to use them! So much to do!!! I need to stay calm and do one thing at a time. Thanks for being here everyone! Day two!

Hi Sansa. I know what you are saying about sugar cravings. Mine are sky high since I quit. I find it helps me though. I don't feel so "deprived"

Good morning day 2. What a difference a day makes! I'm a little tired yet but just having my first cup of coffee. Feeling better about myself and my determination to stay sober! I can do this!

Good morning everyone,

Day 2. Feel much better than I did this time yesterday. Wasn't really hungover, but just had that tired, groggy, irritable feeling. You all know what I mean. Feeling much more positive today and reading all of your posts this morning really helps. This is going to be another challenging weekend, but I cannot let my AV win again. I refuse to start over. Will be here lots!!

Let's have a great and sober weekend. Going to do whatever it takes to stay away from that first drink!

Day 12 and heading into my second sober weekend. I've committed to the weekend thread in addition to the 24 hour thread. Trying to get over a head cold, so the cravings are non existent right now. Still guarded because I know my AV will be back in full force once I'm healthy. Planning on finishing some things around the house. Hoping to get to my exercise class and taking my daughter and a friend into the city. It is frigid here in Michigan, but supposed to warm up after the weekend. Hope everyone is having a great sober day!

Doing better today. Gkids out of school till next Tuesday, so got to spend some time this morning with them. Feeling no desire to drink at all. I wish it was always this way. I do believe that in time, enough sober time, it really will become easier.

So day two, bring it on. Good to catch up on the posts. Check back in later. Keep strong and committed everybody. Starting over, time and time again, isnt fun. My bad.

Yes, I've battled opiates on and off for a few years. I've experienced mild withdrawal in the past.

Have a good day guys.

So this weekend will be my first real test. Last weekend, my first sober weekend in . . .well, forever, went fine, but mostly because I kept busy.

This weekend, specifically Sunday, will be tougher. I'm going out for V Day, and will probably propose to g/f. I hadn't anticipated doing this sober, and there'll be pressure for toasts, etc. She doesn't drink at all, so she's a great woman for me . . . but I don't want to be pressured into even one toast. I understand now that one drink will set me on a "run" again. Also, this sounds crazy, but I never liked the sensation of being drunk. Like I say, I didn't like alcohol, but I sure loved the way it tastes! Anyway, I'm worried about V day.

Hello. My struggle is anxiety. I wake up in panic and everything goes downhill from there. I would love some advice on dealing with morning anxiety. The panic is so strong that I can barely function until noon. My husband is overcritical, life is stressful right now, and my self confidence is 0.

I slipped last weekend during a family meeting. And I can't seem to stop. My husband found out I was drunk last night and he is livid. I am angry at him for not being supportive. But mostly, my biggest enemy is panic...and myself.

Pushing through day 8. I'm gonna tell you cleaning up other people's booze mess is very trying. I had to step back, light an incense and check in. Frustration with my family is one of my major triggers. Anger, boredom, loneliness and frustration and sometime revenge, just to purposely irritate my husband. All such foolish nonsense. Okay. I'm done venting. Thanks for listening. I'm gonna go drink a tall glass of lemon water and take a deep breath.
