I can relate to those drinking dreams, mcflurry - what a huge relief to wake up!!!!
They rarely happen anymore but they were frequent in early sobriety.

Congrats to all the milestoners ! Keep moving along and enjoy the moment !
I did some speedwork yesterday afternoon. It was hot and the sets were nasty. After about two-thirds in my legs began to go rubbery which for me indicates that I dont have much energy left. I persisted and finished the sets. Afterwards as I staggered back home; I noticed the peerless blue sky, fresh air, chattering Rosellas and the grandness of the large gum trees (I live near parkland).
The best thing about exercise is that for one hour, I think of nothing else but surviving the workout. It scrubs my brain clean and I have this tremendous serenity and clarity which carried over to today (admittedly, my brain is probably soused with endorphins ). Sobriety is so wondrous; to be able to enjoy these 'simple' aspects. Very precious.
Another 24 hours of gratitude, loving kindness and sobriety ! Its 8:04am here !

all SO much!
This is my first birthday without any parents, and I'm single now too. I was a little afraid to be honest.
But I feel WONDERFUL! I'm sober, full of hope and excited for what lies ahead.
Being here with all of you is a huge blessing, and I am one very grateful cat!
