Little V is a pretty awesome cat! I just love the spots they manage to get themselves into.

V - are you liking your studies so far?

I am mostly reading right now Briar. I thought I would be getting straight into the first assignment, but then books came in the mail....an editor's companion, and a style manual. My eyes lit up...and of course I want to devour them!

I am looking for temp work, plus I have my volunteer job, and there are things I do every day for my recovery that I will never give up.

So basically I need to learn better time management right now.
I figure if I do a few hours of each every day, I will get there.
But if you have any tips for me, I would LOVE that.

I think you are all way better at time management than I am, and I would really appreciate your advice.

Hi phoebe love ~ how is your night? Oh, awesome new TV show I think you and BD might like, American Crime Story. The first season focuses on the OJ trial.

Really glad you don't have to worry about the Super Bowl party now.

You know I have that DVR'd Venus! Have yet to see it. Very confusing, I am watching American Crime as well and that's a completely different show, very compelling, controversial topics.

I have watched a few episodes of American Crime, too, and I agree.

V, I have always ascribed to that old adage "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today". For me, that eliminated last minute cramming and the anxiety that built up if I delayed.

Good evening here. Just poured a batch of soap, sandalwood and vanilla, colored with Australian clay 'cause that's the best. Tomorrow night I'll be able to cut it, then off to the curing rack for six weeks. It's funny, with every batch you get a picture in your head of what you are aiming.

Me too! I always plan ahead, and do things in advance, as much as I can. I am trying to impart that on my daughter, who favors last minute cramming for tests.

V, I have not watched American Crime, but I am sure I would like to. Need to look for it.

Our current favorites are the Chicago Fire, PD, and now, Med.

Waiting for Scandal and Grays to get back in the groove. My son has been enjoying our lack of TV shows to enjoy catching up on his. He follows most of the Colic based series, usually on Netflix, or DVR, watching when he has time.

My daughter and I have been bonding over "adult coloring." I chuckle whenever I read or use that phrase, as the "adult" as an adjective used to indicate porn, lol. But, I promise all of you, we are coloring detailed pages with designs, animals, and flora, not porn, lol!!

I need to go check if any of my shows are on tonight.

I have read we may get some snow overnight. I should catch some local weather as well.

Editing to add: We have Shades of Blue on at 10PM. We are enjoying that one. We always like Police dramas. We were HUGE fans of NYPD Blue. How about Y'all?

Really loving Shades of Blue! And the three Chicago shows are my favourites as well. Didn't get into American Crime....I can't watch everything, LOL. Scandals and Greys are back Feb 12.

As much as I download, I actually never watch more than two shows a night, usually only one. And with no ads, it's only 45 mins odd at a time. It's what I do while I eat dinner...

I took your advice, turned off the computer earlier, and did all of my errands.
I think the best thing for me re time management is to follow Newton's laws of motion and inertia. As long as I get going, I keep going.

Off to my volunteer job for a few hours.

Love to all of you. ♥

I'm watching 1980's era British police show The Bill.
It was so good - they totally wrecked it later on....

Good morning V!

I had no idea that soap had clay in it. That soap looks like candy or something to me. Bet it smells great. Do you make some with rosemary in it? I like the smell of that stuff.

I've heard of NYPD blue but never watched it. I've not heard of any of the others.....I may try to watch a tv show sometime.

So tomorrow night is a father/daughter dance for me and my little one at her school. We've been practicing our 'twirl and dip'. Speaking of time management, I've put off locating my black tie. Wish me luck as I dive into the recesses of my closet!

Forgot to say how awesome that soap looks BD! I love all of your crafty skills.

I used to LOVE The Bill Dee, and then I stopped watching it as well. Plus my mum (the Scottish snob ) hated British TV...it's funny in retrospect.

Oh Mark, a father-daughter dance? That is just so beautiful. Precious times and wonderful memories. And I bet you'll be the hottest dad on the dance floor!

That is so precious Mark-have a wonderful time! She'll be a fresh mouthed punk teen in the blink of an eye.

Rosemary is one of my favorite essential oils, just got more in fact. Clay adds some slip to the soap as well as natural color. It's good for the skin (think clay mask).
