Exactly!

Glad your working through the issues Vee. With a clear head, right?

Good job coming here Briar and venting!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself V. Some people are predators and are very good at pretending. That's not your fault

There's so much wisdom in the last handful of posts! It's sounds like healing is just ahead, Venus. And there are so many wonderful people that are worthy and deserving of your trust and love. Don't give up on 'em yet!

.........................
I didn't mention this earlier, but my sweet grandmother passed away peacefully over the weekend. There's comfort in knowing that she was resting comfortably during her last days here. However, it's still hard to see my family grieving. I'll be at the viewing tomorrow evening and funeral on Thursday.
So I'm pretty sure this "tummy bug" is stress-induced. And I haven't been taking very good care of myself lately. I was able to eat a little tonight though.

Have I told y'all lately how incredible I think you are?

Yes, she did! And she said some very sweet things to me that day that I'll always remember. She said she was happy that I waited until I was older to get married; She could tell that I knew who I was as a woman, what I wanted in a good husband, and that I was genuinely happy. Nailed it, Grandma!

Goodnight Leigh! I'm not far behind you on bedtime.

That is so wonderful, Conquest. It brought tears to my eyes.

What a treasured memory of your grandmother on your wedding day Conquest. Priceless. I also took note of Arbor's fond recollection of his Nana's English custard. Good stuff.

Conquest, I'll be thinking of you and yours as y'all gather to celebrate and honor your grandmother's life.

Conquest, it will be a celebration of your Grandma for sure, and how nice that she was a part of your wedding. Hugs my friend.

Thanks, BD! The love and support here is so very touching.

And I can't believe I'm going to work today, but I know others have had to carry the weight for me for a couple of days. My job is in mental health care and requires me to be thinking and caring for the needs of others. All I want to do is take care of myself...hire a maid and chef for my house, sit on my hiney, and watch Family Feud all day. (A girl can dream, right? Lol. ). I've just felt very much like the mother hen in my family the last few days and it's a bit exhausting. Is it too early to start looking forward to Saturday?

Thanks for letting me vent guys. Posting here definitely does help.

Ok. Pity party done. Let's do this!

So sorry to hear of your grandmothers passing Conquest. You'll be in my thoughts this week for sure. Sometimes the best medicine is to distract yourself with something like work.

All the best.
