Sounds good V, I hope you enjoy it.
I'm beat, it was an exhausting day at work. A big part of my job is fixing complicated technical errors in prison sentences. These errors result in major legal problems that have to be sorted out, and I'm the one who gets to do it. I actually dig these nightmare clean up projects because I love organizing things, but the ones I'm working on right now are proving to be absolutely ridiculous.
Today was a real headache, and tonight my editing client has grant applications she needs edited by tomorrow. She's a last minute kind of gal. And my daughter needs valentine presents for her classmates, so I have 15 gift bags to assemble. And the house cleaner is coming tomorrow, so the house has to be picked up, and at present it's in a semi-post-apocalyptic state; including: the cat ate a great deal of my daughter's popcorn and then puked it all over the house, so finding it all is like some kind of F-ed up easter egg hunt.
And laundry. My daughter is out of pants.
So I better quit complaining and start working. I hope you guys had a good day!

I feel your pain, Briar. Some days (weeks, months, too) it feels like all burners are on high. Hang in there!
After two of the craziest months I've had in many years, I may finally be feeling some sense of normalcy in my new home. OR, I'm just redefining "normal" to fit this new life. Lol Either way, it's a welcomed relief.

OMG Briar....that is a LOT. Too much for one night...may I say as an ex-house cleaner....leave the mess (except for the cat vomit) and apologise. Any good cleaner will tidy for you if you are nice to them.

I usually do a pre clean clean too - but on the occasions when I haven't due to illness or whatever noones been worried.
My regular cleaner says you would not believe what some places are like (but he's not judgmental - these guys specialise in disabled clients and some need more help- than others) .
I'm guessing we're both in the upper percentile

I'm sure you're right Dee, and my cleaner has told me as much. It's one of those things I need to sort out with my inner neurotic perfectionist. Actually, she's not very inner...she's pretty out.
