Snooz, glad you have a good day planned

Ladybug, good to see you back. Do whatever it takes, baby. It's worth it!

Venus, my j is a big tennis fan too. Wimbledon is sacred around here.

Let, your killin me back in Cali... have a good day!

Hi Bob, Leigh, ((((((Leshar))))), dee, anyone I missed!

We are slowly but surely getting settled in the new house. J is a little irritated hat we didn't get completely done with the kitchen yesterday, but I think we made great progress considering we did a full scrubdown and lining of cabinets and drawers, scrubbed the bejeezus out of the fridge and freezer, etc. there are two ways to settle in, right or fast. Gosh that sounds anal!

Drunk wehav would have just dug out a skillet, plate, spatula and fork and called it a day. Then Celebrated with beer or wine. Then stared at everything, overwhelmed, wineglass in hand, for another several months. Yeah I'll take anal wehav any day.

Ladybugggggg :-)))) xxxx

It's so good to hear from you sweetheart , lets try and help you beat this thing once and for all. I bet your past month has been hideous right? Back in that awful spiral.

It's ok , you're wanting to break free from it, stay close to us & don't isolate. We are ALL here for you lovely xxxx lets make this year OUR sober year .

Drinking is th pits! I had to get past 2 weeks to feel strong again. You CAN do this , you've one it before I know you can do it again. Take it a day at a tine & don't put pressure on yourself.

Days are easier to get by , bit by bit to build up those numbers. Much love xx

Lisa how are you going honey ? Are you still struggling or slowly getting there , keep posting ok cos this is the part that helps us most . Thinkin of you too.

Hiya everyone else. :-) my daughter Rebekah caught the plane out last night for her first overseas trip & she is going on her own . Brave girl at 24 xx

Looking forward to all her stories :-)

Back later xxx hugs xxx

I've noticed something lately that I hadn't noticed before.
Not only do I have the ability to smell alcohol from a mile away.
But sadly, I can tell when it is ruining peoples lives as well.

I can see them on that slow dark escalator leading to the bottom floor.

There is a family that lives in a house that is on my walk that I pass every day.
The gentleman that lives there used to be a regular at my old watering hole.
I have overheard drunken fighting/arguments. Have witness this person in a cast and walking to the local bottle store.(possible drunk driving accident).
Seen a for sale sign go up in front of the house. Now I see the guy scrounging the woods in the neighborhood for fire wood to burn in the fireplace as he can't keep the house heated. It's sad....
It's sad to see how it snowballs into such a mess.
Once the job is gone then the reputation is shot, it is hard to climb back out.

It could have been me.

I hope he can find his way to sobriety and start living a life that is fruitful instead of a dark path to the bottom.

I think it's the vicious cycle thing. Drink+BAD things happen= drink again.
Trying to seek shelter using alcohol, only to emerge with more issues than before.

"There but for the grace of God, go I".

I doubt I will ever take this (sober life) for granted. I certainly hope I don't.
I hope that that man and his family are able to get some help to eat and heat their house Bob.

SO good to see you Ladybug.

Love to all of the Julyers. ♥
