Neo, it's an ingrained thought. If you're like me, you used alcohol all the time for every occasion. It's understandable to still have those associations. It takes time to break the thought. We are obsessive and compulsive people so our thoughts are obsessive and compulsive.

Next time, try listing in your head all the names of the people on this thread. It is a great distraction.

Any distraction works. Chocolate? A sandwich? A shower? Cleaning a drawer in the kitchen? Watching a funny video on YouTube? I like a long walk, myself.

24 more hours for me, please. If I can do it you can do it.

It sneaks up on us out of nowhere at times... same thing happened to me last night.... Chocolate helps!

Hey, Neo! Glad to hear you're hanging in there.
Bimini has good ideas. I have often done the distraction thing. "Go to sink-Drink 5 glasses water" What next? "Go to fridge- Find something and eat till full". Or the bath thing...
