Class of August 2015 Part 8
I'm glad you're feeling better Kitty.
2 weeks for me. Anxiety is brutal...
I went for a short walk and then to see my new counselor. We did meditation focused on worries, it was very nice. And we are working on my confidence. I need that, I don't feel confident right now. I feel very vulnerable...

I do feel better today, thanks Kitty! Still just eating toast. Bad clam chowder I think.
Really digging sobriety last couple of weeks. It's nice not having to check my phone to see if I talked to anyone or sent a goofy text! I'm also sleeping a good 7 or 8 hours now, that's something new.
I'm watching a retrospective of David Bowie right now, pure genius. Saw him in 1974 I think, amazing.
Who is watching the Superbowl tomorrow? Go Broncos!

Just wanted to share that I reached 6 months of sobriety today! My AV is pretty much non-existent and I am feeling great. I have now moved on to a serious attempt to eliminate sugar and sweet treats from my diet. I ate way too much sugar in the first few months of not drinking (it helped me a lot and was in a way a substitute for alcohol :-) and now I'm finally ready to make some changes to my diet.
Hope everyone else is doing fine, even if you don't post here. Stay strong!

Take care and I wish you all happiness and sobriety.
Congrats hopeful! It's great to see another member of our group back here!
I'm right there with you, still sober, getting close to 9 months. Still wanting to drink, but not struggling so much any more. It's become much easier to say no :-)

Thanks Yogapants and again great job. I still have cravings as well but they have decreased. I kind of look at not drinking as a personal challenge at this point. Alcohol is the enemy and I just don't want to lose by giving in. Keep up the great work!
Not entirely sure why I looked up this thread. Just a reality check. August 2015 was when I had my catastrophic booze caused- should be permanently dead, burns thingy. Was wondering what other were doing when I was busy frying myself. Hope you all are doing okay and are at peace with the world. PJ
