Ideally, no more pain meds after early tomorrow morning. I still have the horrible tasting second bottle of antibiotics to get through.

Hi SP,

I've just read your whole surgery journal and just wanted to say I think you are a really brave person & you certainly don't deserve the drama that's been added to this ordeal..

I'm glad your feeling a little better & I wish you a speedy recovery so you can take charge of your life again.

Hang in there, it won't be this bad for much longer

I will check with him for sure. Since there were no refills allowed, he has designed it so that I will have to call and ok it. I am pretty certain he will say I'm ok to come off them if I feel like it.

Sure, will do that, Venuscat. Tom is calling him early tomorrow to let him know where we stand on meds.

I woke up in terrible pain again. I wish I could report otherwise. It's clear I can't stop pain meds yet. My husband helped me this morning. But I know I can't count on consistency. Anyway, I'm tons better after some meds, water, heated facial cloths, two ensure, and a mouth rinse.

Mornings are the worst when it come to pain because of the swelling that builds up overnight while laying down. Glad you are feeling better now and your husband helped you.

GroundhogDay, I am sleeping on double pillows, well, actually three or four pillows. Two large king sized ones, a regular one, and one super soft and fluffy down pillow that I can manipulate and kind of wrap around the sides of my face. It is fluffy and cradles my face, making me feel a little more secure.

Yes, but you are still lying down and relatively still while sleeping in the dead of night. Getting up and moving around will help reduce the swelling.

SP, don't beat yourself up if you need another round of pain meds, your poor body has been through some real trauma; you can always dump the remaining pills when you don't need them any longer. Stay strong, you will get through this!
