It's a bit confusing Inpar, it's not how many birds land in an hour but how many birds, say goldfinches there are in your garden at the same time. So if you've 12 on the tree all at once then later 5 land you count 12! Unless I'm doing it wrong. Don't know why it's done this way, though. Sounds like they've all heard about your garden Inpar !

It's grim and raining here now .

Hi Overs! Late start to the day! The doc has me taking sleeping pills temporarily until my sleep is stabilized and so I am "hung over" a bit from that. Not a pleasant feeling at all.

Humming birds are lovely, Eternal, we don't have them in the uk.

Hope you're feeling ok, Sassy, and your sleep gets stabilised.x

The only birds that are around Michigan at this time of year are Snowy Owls. Just kidding but it is not too far from the truth

No humming birds? What a shame. Michigan has zillions of them in the summer time. They have to be one of God's coolest creatures. They are mean to each other though and are constantly fighting to get my feeder by dive bombing each other

Give watched them on bird feeders, the humming birds, MIR., and they're so small! Beautiful though.

Hope it's a better day, weather wise tomorrow for us, Wolfie .

Europe doesn't get hummingbirds I wished they did as they are beautiful I've seen on video they are really something people get mistaken when they see the hummingbird moth & think it's the bird in europe but it isn't

They are awesome Mir

Yeah Sass, me too, my sleep is not too bad at the moment, so I really feel for you. I hate that 'hungover' feeling that sleep meds can give you. I have been taking melatonine tabs at night which seem to help. Of course, the long dark nights help as well, come the summer when it barely gets dark for long, I am perky at 3am. ( and grumpy as sin by 3pm!)

Oh FBL here is one for your obits, though you will probably never have heard of him. Sir Terry Wogan, national treasure or 'that Irish gobsh1te' depending what camp you fall in to. (Me the former, MrT the latter, mthough I think it's jealousy)
The great man is heading skywards to interview the big man himself. More than just a radio and to presenter and interviewer, Peter Allis once said that if he had chosen to Sir Tel could have turned professional golfer. I believe he still holds the record for longest televised putt from a pro-am tournament.

Already done with my Sunday nature walk. It's 35F here this morning, which is warm for this time of the year. A big storm is headed in our direction, but it looks like we'll "only" get 3-5 inches of snow as the bulk of it will be to our north. Time will tell.

Have a Stupendous Sunday, overs!

Nature walking sounds good FBL

Just got bk in I think there's something in the air as I had to exchange something & the person was being really stroppy I didn't react just went about my business then on the way home there was a Mexican standoff between 2 cars it was really silly to see 2 cars with ppl just swearing at each other I was like its bad enough its raining

Still getting birds in the garden but only starlings and ring neck doves the wind is picking up so not sure if we'll see anymore

Good morning, Overs!

FBL, although I prefer north over south by a wide margin for temperatures, at my age, too much snow gets a bit tiresome. Hope you enjoy it!

Toots, I've tried melatonin numerous times and it simply doesn't do a thing for me :-(. At least the meds are only temporary while I get my act together. I've already cut one of the two in half without major negative effect and hope to try doing without the other in about a week. So until then it will be Sleepy Sassy. It beats me how some people can abuse these meds.
