Yeah, I actually love bats, they are sweet little critters, though they can be quite unnerving when they get in the house. There's really no way to catch them, and they don't respond well to genuinely well-intended attempts to guide them toward an open door with a broom.

LOL, years ago, me sister went to put her laundry in the dryer in her apartment building and there was a bat in the room. She was hysterical and called one of our brothers, who ended up laughing hysterically at her " you want me to come rescue you from a bat?" She was not amused and called my husband, who went over and got the bat out. She never did laundry there again. My DH also assisted a friend who had them in his attic years ago. They can slither through tiny cracks. It was a mess. I bought him a Batman tee shirt, long gone now.

Morning guys!

Ahhh...bees and bats. I think we all got a story.

I can relate to Briars experience with bees in the walls. Years ago I rented a place in the next town over by the tracks. One night I heard a humming sound coming from behind the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. I thought maybe being an old house it was electrical?

The next day I noticed a small hole in the wood siding. There were massive amounts of yellow jackets flying into the hole! I called the landlord and he sent someone out. The guy said he could see the backside of my medicine cabinet through the hole where he exterminated. Yikes!

Thank goodness you heard them, Arbor.

Cowboy and I are having a "wild" Friday night to ourselves. He's playing video games. I'm updating my iPad. And it sounds like cereal is on the menu for dinner. Honestly, it's quite blissful after the crazy work week.

The good news is... I got my stitches out! Woohoo! Sing "I've Got No Strings" with me... Lol

Your stitches are out - great news, Conquest!!!

Ugh, bees are so gnarly.

If my cat will kindly get off my keyboard, I will tell you guys about a useful idea I had. I've never really done the positive affirmations thing, but the ED recovery app I'm using on my phone is big on them, and I'm finding that it really does help me feel better to think about something positive and encouraging for a while. My friend gave me a deck of affirmation cards a while back, and I've been using those by pulling one randomly and believing I'm receiving just the right message I need at that time. But then I thought I could do this on my iPhone. I wasn't much into the apps for this, so what I did was cruise google for images of affirmations I like and saved a bunch of them in an album on my phone. Now instead of pulling a card, I look away from my phone, swipe, and touch the screen anywhere. Whatever image opens is what I need to hear right then. I can also set it as the background on my phone, that way I'll see it every time I compulsively check the time, which would be about 1000 times a day. I'm finding it helpful, so I just thought I'd share.

The one I pulled this morning says "good vibes only." Yes, good plan.
