I hope everyone's fine, special thoughts and prayers to those that have been having a rough time, I hope you come bouncing back here soon.

Plenty of classmates haven't posted for a while, I'm thinking of you too and hoping that you're all thriving. I don't like to pull out names because it's inevitable that someone gets missed off........you know who you are!

Glad you're staying Kiki, and my thoughts are with you.

Having to work through your traumas must be so hard.

I'm definitely in the 70 day camp also - this weekend was better than the previous one and attended my second AA meeting but then Monday afternoon / evening & yesterday morning were pretty rough again, thought I really was losing the plot on Monday evening / yesterday morning, had a couple of appointments yesterday which helped, I feel I sound like I'm dramatizing at times though as I'm now feeling ok again, been up and down massively since around the day 60 mark and now on day 75. Off to my first CA meeting tonight also and been suggested I up the number of meetings (AA & CA) a week to try and help.

Kiki sorry to hear about the slip and problems you are dealing with, you have been so helpful and supportive for us all - good luck concentrating on you but this place wouldn't be the same with you so whilst also now in January glad to hear you are staying with us too !! Healthygoals sorry to hear about the problems and slips but glad to hear you are getting back on track.

Tuffers - I see you have dropped the "tabs" today - good luck mate ;-)

All the best to everyone else.

Just checking in. I too slipped on day 70, and in hindsight I had been entertaining the idea of "one little drink" in the build up to the actual slip. I should have reacted to those alarm bells sooner. I am now back on day 10.

If I am honest the days up to 70 were really not to bad. But since the slip things have been really tricky and I have been struggling.

It's that classic AV thing that we all know " Look, you got to 70, and now you have got to 10 easily (which is not true it has been hard!!) , you have this thing under control now. A drink from time to time is not going to change much".

The cravings are pretty bad at the moment. Funny because in other areas of my life things are going well. stable mood, lots of exercise, wonderful family moments it's just that AV constantly buzzing around like an annoying wasp. The more I swat him away the angrier and more persistant he becomes and the more agitāted I get.

Hugs to you all.

Day 27! Doing well! Feeling simply bored with life right now. Also struggling w frustration and aggravation with my husband. Nothing particular is driving this. Thinking about my life...trying to figure out purpose, etc.

Throwing down some breakfast before heading out to work, facing a very stressful day but that's why they pay me well and I earn it.

Have a great day everyone!

I can relate to this too rah. The feeling "bored" with life. I have so many things to do and so many new things that I want to do but I feel like "simply not drinking" is taking up all my energy at the moment . I have no spark and I too feel "bored".

I thing it's hopefully a stage that we need to bulldoze through.

All the best to you.

I had a 8am meeting this morning with executive staff and I felt so proud of myself to walk in alert and cheerful and upbeat instead of hungover and slovenly if I would have been drinking the night before. Just the small things sometimes! Patricia and Snowvelvet, are you doing okay? I hope anyone else having a hard time will check in and let us know...we want to help!! Take care, everybody!
Thanks Kim! Yes I need all the support I can get! I'm glad you are doing well! :-)

I was wondering the same thing about how Patricia & Snow are...praying!!!

Hi there, yes working thru that crap sucks but I'm strong & I WILL do it! I just need to slow down by about 90% and work thru it slower!

It sucks that I had 1 slip but I know why it happened, have added some more people & tools to my support system & it's GO time! :-)

Thx for caring Tufty!

I also feel that same way Rah. I was so out of sorts yesterday it brought my period 2 weeks early. =( ugh. I just kept playing the tape though and drinking just sounded yucky. I really hate the way I feel after its all done. It's just not worth it when i know these feelings i'm having will pass with a little time.

Hi Fabat, are you doing okay? I know that the cravings can feel overwhelming, but they will ease up if you don't drink. The AV may try to trick you into drinking to get rid of the cravings (as mine has in the past), but only not drinking will be the sure fire way to make the cravings go away. I know you can do it!!

Good morning friends!
Kim-isn't it a great feeling to walk in to a meeting sharp and proud? I'm glad you're doing so well!
Tuf- you're doing so well! Gave up smoking too! That's a tough one. I quit many years ago and I literally had to come straight home from work and go to bed for at least a month just to get through!!!!
Kiki- how are you feeling today? It looks like you've come out stronger. You've got this!!!
Rah and Meshelly- I totally felt the same way and sometimes those feelings of boredom sneak back in. It's like, " what am I going to do for fun the rest of my life?" I'm still trying to figure it out, but it's not as depressing as it was during the first 30-60 days.
Fabat-don't listen to that sneaky AV! I keep hearing those same promises. I call BS!
Has anybody heard from Patricia or Enfin?
I hope everybody has a great sober Wednesday!!!

Hi KIR! Yes...I feel I have come out stronger! I have added some more tools to my tool box & feel good about it!

That being said...has anyone ever done EMDR or DBT therapy for PTSD/trauma?

I have heard it works wonders.

Hi guys.
I got the flu.
But I'm ok, and sober.
I'll be back when I feel better. Everything hurts right now!
