Shocking start to the week.....
Bucketing down rain, my bloody feet got wet, this is at 6.05am......
Followed by exam invigilation from 8.30-10.00.

One and a half hours.........so I just went so sleep sitting in a chair up the back of the school gym.
There's no promotion or super incentive here, there's just finishing the race on July 13.......

Hope all are well.......!

That's not a good way to start the day obo, makes for a long day with wet feet.
Just don't get caught napping, wouldn't want any added aggravation.

Have a good day.

That's a sad situation for sure Up. Praying that God guide & direct them is about all you can do for someone that doesn't want help.

I'm with you TS, buying the ticket is worth a little dreaming

Winding down here tonight, car packed & ready to go in the am. Found a great site to create & track clients info & invoices I can send right from my phone. Have a Niece that does marketing & sent her a couple Lobos that I like & possibly have a name for the business, she will do website & I have some good ideas for that. I'm thinking I shouldn't advertise too much until I am set up to hire a couple of people to clean with me. I'm hoping to build something I can manage rather than cleaning myself. Anyway, woke feeling overwhelmed a bit to feeling like I accomplished something towards it. My next step is to fix the garage into an office & service space for clean supplies, & equipment & can be used to easily, unload & re-supply. before setting anything up, I want to completely empty the garage, pressure wash floor & put in some new shelving that's being given to us, put back what I need & get rid of the rest. Thinking Sons workbench would make a cool office desk out there, but I might have to wrestle for it. That's for another day

Unfortunately that is all I can do Mariah.

Really sounds like you are on your way there. I wish I had the skill and confidence to start some kind of business.
I'm sure the biggest thing I'm lacking is the confidence, still feel like I am a failure but I'm working on that.
Truthfully I have always brought people into my life who never really believed in me and I let myself believe them.

Not so sure about that Mariah,.....
Now that you're sober, those old patterns will melt away. You sound like you're on fire with the start-up !
Having your vision and getting so organized initially will pay dividends ,...for sure.

Good, no,......... great ,... idea to delay advertising in these early days while developing a small organization . For several reasons.

The whole thing is damn exciting !!!!

Tops, I actually prefer the "find a bag in the woods" strategy - there's no outlay for that, has to be better than forking out for a lottery ticket, the odds would be pretty much the same anyway (especially if you never actually buy a lottery ticket)

Yes, I had all the fabric, under the bed, just getting dusty, crying out to be made in to curtains. It's something I've been meaning to do for long time.

Mariah, your plans sound fabulous, I'm really excited about your new venture. This is wonderful.

UP, on the confidence thing, it's just a matter of planning small steps. Forget about the huge goal, everything can be broken down in to something achievable. Confidence grows with each tiny step. What would you like to do?

Also, those naysayers of the past no longer need to influence your life. There's plenty of people who want you to be happy and successful, stick around them (us!), and soak up the positive vibe.

Obo, hopefully you've dried off by now. Soggy feet is no fun.

I'm terribly late this morning, but it's still going to be good sober day.
Have a great start to week all.

I really am not sure what I would like to do free. Maybe that is the biggest problem, I've always figured if I knew of some business that could succeed here I could learn how to do it. Now that I really have thought about it I would probably need to know what I really want to do so that it would help drive me.

Here, but exhausted...cleaned for 9 1/2 hrs an 1 1/2 more than the time set for this job. When I turned in the key to realtor she seemed pretty happy about all than I accomplished. Another 10 hrs is needed over there but did the best I could for 10 hrs (finished job from Friday) anyway, she said they do property management too & that she will definaty call me. Still nothing from the other property management RE: new jobs...hoping to at least get one more this week. Felt pretty nice shooting those invoices off & that I'de worked for every penny I billed for

Thanks, you too.

Maybe I should move to the west coast, if my sleep schedule stayed the same it would be more like normal people's.

.

Great stuff Mariah !!

Up, ...you might be right about the West Coast move !
Watch that Cali though ,....remember Woody Guthrie's great folk song ; .....Doe Re Mi ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWvtzcPYucQ

Freein,
Didn't make it for a walk in the woods today,....so I opted for a two dollar entry ticket to the gargantuan Lotto day after tomorrow.

Hopefully the part of my ticket that goes to "education" in South Carolina will help a child in math class learn not to play the lottery !
The whole concept is like a voluntary tax on folks who missed the cipherin' text with Probabilities & Statistics at the local library . Casinos love'm.

I have no room to talk , ...one glance at my 5 year old retirement account , you'd think a monkey was throwin' darts at the business section in the local rag.

Maybe I can win back the 2 bucks on a small prize ! Always heard terrible Karma visits the big winner,....so it'll be a victory to find not a single number matches !

I already have the bad karma top so I might as well have the money to go with it.

Truthfully I wouldn't know what to do with that much money. Probably drive myself crazy trying to figure out worthy causes to donate to, or start. I would want to help the people who truly want help not the ones that merely want a handout.

I definitely wouldn't want to be in a big city in cali tops

Good luck with the lottery ticket, Tops.
I was day dreaming the other day, and thought how great it would be to have enough money to pay for us all to meet up somewhere exotic, a lovely island, somewhere warm?

Mariah, that must feel so satisfying, sending off those invoices. It's all happened so quickly, you're so inspiring.

The organisation I work for are still going through some radical changes, by April we'll be under different management. We're told that it shouldn't effect us much, but it still feels like it might be time to look around for a different job. It could be an opportunity to break away from the rat race.

I'm much more concerned with my spiritual life these days, the material things have less hold on me than they once did. I'm enjoying the journey much more.

Anyway, off to work, have a great day all.

If I won the lottery I would build this town a huge ice skating rink, a roller rink& a water slide park....give the kids something to do here!!then I would find a quiet island somewhere & definaty invite all of you!! And a well would be in the works Up

Home today....took Son to bus at 630, came home & went back to bed & actually slept in a bit....very nice!!

My spiritual self is leaning towards enjoying those little things in life too Freein, choosing to be happy with who I am & where I'm at....the big lotto would probably blow a hole through that!

Nothing else lined out for work this week so Need to see if I can drum something up today. Have a good day all.
