The term 'sober muscle' is something I noticed early on when I joined SR. I like working out so it stuck with me. The days you feel like $&#T and make it through grow your sober muscle and prove the point that your AV can't pick up a bottle without your consent.
At first I did well to be able to 'lift' a sober day. With time though holidays, social situations, the end of a stressful workday, etc. have all gotten easier to lift as I've continued to work through each one. These tough days you're experiencing are not fun, no doubt about that! But in retrospect I see that those were the days that provided the opportunity for growth. There's no shortcut, but you can do this!
Neo, for now you just have to go in faith that it won't always feel this way. We're pulling for you every step of the way!
In for 24 and time for the gym to work on other muscle!
