Off work and my son is being picked up by his dad at his after school program and I'll get him back tomorrow morning. Thoughts of drinking came up. The thoughts are not that strong yet but I won't drink no matter what. I'm not picking my son up with a hangover. He won't have a mom who still stinks.

I'm home with 2 Del taco chicken burritos and a diet coke. Feeling ok.

Sometimes sobriety uncovers boredom or depression that people didn't even know was there. Finding things to do that capture your attention and bring you joy, or people to hang with, can help with the doldrums.

Are there any comedy shows or movies that you could watch to help lift your mood? Or a good book?

My favorite comedy ever is "Bowfinger" with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy. I might pop that dvd in. It's been years since I've watched it. I highly recommend it too.
