Morning overs. It's 5.11 am on Sunday and I'm having negative thoughts about going back to work! It's been such a nice break, I could get used to it!

Hope it's a good Sunday for all.

Hey Eternal, welcome to our ever-expanding club!

Thanks again for all the B-day wishes...y'all made turning 50 almost tolerable

Had a relaxing B-day. Talked to Mom and my brothers, everybody is doing well.

Already went for my extended Sunday morning walk. It was too cold for any wildlife and too early for any humans, so it was a nice chance to do some serious thinking.

Have a great Sunday, overs!

^^^ Ahh Trapper John...how I loved him. I was so young...every episode of Mash was incredible, but I had such a crush on him.
I thought my heart was going to break when his character died.

Trapper didn't die though V...he just went back to the States.
You might be thinking of Henry Blake?

Far out...how could I remember that so wrong?
Of course it was Henry....

...the scene in the operating room with Radar....

I put every single episode of Mash on video tape, and then used another VCR and edited out ever single add....no easy feat at the time. We still have them all, not that it's necessary now as it's all available on DVD.

I'm fighting those negative thoughts off with a plan for work tomorrow that is not too ambitious -- something I know I can accomplish.

It has been a very relaxing break.

FBL, yes, I saw on the news about Wayne Rogers. I was also a diehard MASH fan.

Hello Over Undies and a happy Sunday to you all. I hope you're all good and well.

It's another wet, grey and gloomy day here in the U. K, rain, rain and more rain. I'm feeling a bit down today, don't know why, I shouldn't be after all I woke up this morning and that's always a bonus! Think I need to give myself a kick up the backside and a good talking to.

Geezer carpet slippers Rusty, lol, I got the other half a pair for Christmas, don't think he was too impressed. You know you're getting old when you start getting them bought you.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday F.B.L, did you do anything special to celebrate your big 50?

Oh I love watching the birds S.W, I've got feeders all over the garden, I spend hours watching them. Have you seen anything interesting? Love the caption on your wall too, very apt. I enjoy walking too, no better way to unravel your head than a good brisk walk on a cold morning.

Feeling Good, that's really sad news, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. The only consolation I can think of is that she's no longer in pain, bless her. I'm glad you had a peaceful Christmas and I hope your batteries are fully charged. Sounds like you've had a lovely afternoon with your daughter, nothing nicer than a bit of quality time spent with our loved ones.

Good afternoon, Groundhog Day and Saskia, enjoy the rest of your day.

Thanks for your kind works WeHaveToday, they mean a lot. I'm sorry to hear about your partners dad. People keep telling me that it will get easier with time and I'm sure it will, just have to take each day as it comes.
Your vacation sounds like good fun, enjoy every minute and make lots of happy memories. xx

Hi Drake and EternalNow, hope you're both having a great week end.

Hi V.C and love and good afternoon to you lovely lady.

Sounds like you've got that 'Sunday night feeling' Mags, I'm sure you'll be fine once you get in work, it's just the thought of going back after a break, it's bad enough going back after a day off!

Good afternoon Dee, hope you're well.

What sad news about Wayne Rogers, R.I.P.

See you all later.

Thanks grace we refilled some of our feeders today we have seen tons of birds like ring neck doves, wood pigeons, bluetits, robins, starlings, chaffinches, crow & baby crows, blackbirds, magpies & we have a cheeky resident squirrel we named Baxter we love him he takes off the lid off one of the sunflower hearts feeders & gets stuck right in we've seen him doing it its adorable we have 7 feeders so its fine from mixed seeds to special feeds to suet balls to sunflower hearts & peanuts

Managed to get to my long-neglected to-do list today. Glad I got some of that stuff out of the way before going back to work tomorrow morning.

It was warm enough to get a run in too. Tomorrow and the next day will be cold, so I got my heavy wool sweater dresses out.

I was going to a potluck dinner thing tonight, but I did not feel real social so I am staying here.

But since I had nothing else to do, I am making a potato galette. A simple thing if you look at the ingredients, potatoes, butter, salt, pepper. But one of the most difficult things to have come out right. It is a large potato cake, sliced potatoes overlap in circles. It is then carefully cooked on the stove and then baked to get a crisp crust and creamy center. Then getting it out and into a plate without it looking like a mess is the trick. But so good. I do one once every 4-5 years.
