Going to be over 100 here today, sigh.

At another time, I will explain why I get so frightened in situations like yesterday with my plumbing problem...I know my reactions are completly irrational and over-the-top. I also know why. And as this keeps coming up, I see a clear opportunity to fix this now.

Anyway, the RE Agent was VERY nice to me...and apologetic. I may see the plumber today. The leak isn't worse, and appears to be contained for the moment. In any case, of course it will be alright. Thank you guys for being so patient with me.

I can completely understand why things feel overwhelming, V. You are rather on your own, tight financially, and not feeling well health-wise. I would get anxious too. I am so glad that they are taking care of it for you. It can be hard to "complain." But, really, it's not complaining. It's just needing to be fixed.

I'm not one for staying up late-have not seen the ball drop in years. I also don't enjoy going out on days that the restaurants are recruiting you and expecting you to be there with fancy menus, etc. I'll probably cook a nice dinner. DD will go out-but I won't want her driving. Too many dangers on the road that night.

I just food shopped for the next few days. Will be making the food to feed my brother and his wife and one daughter. The other two are not around. Travelled for New Years. Going to make and freeze meatballs and stuffed pasta shells, so will do extra for future dinners for just us.

A quiet New Year's Eve planned with the kids for tomorrow. We are going to have homemade pizzas. Well watch movies or shows until midnight, play games, do the American Idol game and just dance on the Xbox. Husband won't do those, lol.

I don't like the hype and the noise and the drunken people everywhere, so I haven't been out on New Year's for years. I don't stay up either BD, but if I want to I can walk upstairs and watch the fireworks from the third floor.

I used to do that...but I always had a drink in my hand.
