Class of March 2013 Part 45
Oh Toots de Sweet I am with Dee, I hope you are much better very soon.
Five years after everyone else I have discovered Downton Abbey via DVD -- typical of me, I watch virtually nothing but the news "live". I am utterly and completely hooked. The last time I was this hooked was on "West Wing".

Hi guys,
Just checking in with some quick hits:
1. I met with the jewelry maker last week and designed the engagement ring for my girlfriend. It should be ready in a few weeks. Now I just have to figure out how to propose lol.
2. We booked a vacation to Riviera Maya in April at this all-inclusive resort that specializes in fancy, gourmet food. They even have a restaurant with huge TV screens so you can see the chefs prepare your meal. They also have a health bar with custom smoothies and other non-alcoholic drinks. I haven't been this excited for a bar in ages lol.
3. Work has been tough, but I am getting through it. I haven't had to travel in 2016, so that's been awesome. After I finish up a few major projects, I am really going to try to do better at the whole work-life balance thing.
4. I lost a couple of people I was close to in AA but they died sober and happy.
5. I'm stepping down my nicotine level again with my vaporizer. Hoping I don't get too cranky. After this, only two more steps to go and I'll be nicotine free!
Marcher - I wrote a letter about how I got sober, but in classic digdug fashion, it ended up being 752 words. I don't want to cut anything out, so let me know if you still want me to send it over, even though I violated the word count. If not, that's cool too. It was fun to write.
Have a good weekend, all!

I'm going from 12 to 9mg today. Then 6, then 3, then 0.
I'm trying to do this gradually, as my anxiety kicks up when the withdrawal hits. My goal is to be down to 0 by the end of the year. It usually takes me a 2-3 months to adjust to a new level. I started at 18mg.
You don't have to go down from 6 straight to 0. You can mix 6 and 0 to make 3!

Well, I've cut waaaay back on my intake as well. I can pretty much drop it anytime now. Maybe next vacation(end o'March) will be the end. I'll probably carry some 0 nic around with me for the fidget factor.
Holy crap if I put anything in my lungs besides my inhalers, I'd be in a coma! I joked to a coworker the other day that if I have the lungs of a crack smoker, I might as well smoke crack. If I smoked or vaped, I'd probably be in the flipping hospital.
Not that I have a resentment about my lungs right now or anything... Lol

Trust me, vaping is the farthest thing from smoking that can be. There is NO smoke. It's water vapor. I was so much better after a few days that people noticed. Still a ncotine addict but tapering off that. Soon to be done.
