Hooray for rain in CA!!

I've ordered my daughter a Fitbit for Christmas. She requested it. Amazon had it at a discount last week.

Been busy doing shopping and some jewelry. Also trying to be more attentive to the dog, working on training.

Wow; thank God for the rain; hope it's replenishing.

I feel for those in all the draught stricken areas.

Hey ~ the wrap Youtube tags button and Google button are fixed.

I'm reading, but I'm quiet because I'm very tired. Not-so-little V is not doing well, and she's waking me up in the middle of the night. And like any 'mum', I don't sleep much after that.

Glad your lovely daughter is OK after not making the BBall team phoebes, and the gym membership is lovely. ♥

Briar, you won't believe this, but I don't have any shoes. Well, I do, but the only new ones I have bought in four years are Havianas and AllStars. I somehow missed the 'shoe' gene that both of my sisters got from my mum.

Conquest huny, what date is your wedding? So happy for you.

Love to BD, Mark, Leigh, Arbor, Dee.

I remember, venuscat, that you said little v was not feeling well about six weeks or so ago; is it the same malady?

Asking with the others, what's going on with V?

We are just busy with the puppy, who is a 45+ puppy/toddler, who is too tall, and gets our food, jackets, and whatever. Ugh. I wonder what I was thinking... Oh well. He is very cute.

Got much of the shopping done for Christmas for the kids. Leaves me time to knit hats for homeless, and bake and craft jewelry for gifts.

You knit for the homeless phoebes? That's lovely.

I don't know what's going on with Venus the cat. Could be stress ~ it was really awful the other day with the trees.
The vet took blood, so we will see I guess.

I bought myself my favourite flowers.
It's been a long, long time since I did something that nice for myself.

Gerbera daisies, V? Lovely thing to do for yourself!

Tired this morning. Been staying up too late. I may go back to bed after the boy goes to school.

I do not regularly knit for the homeless, but around this time of year, I pull out the knitting loom and make some hats for my kids, or babies we know or in the family, and a couple extra to donate. I don't knit on needles. Just hats or scarves on the round loom. It's very easy.

This weekend will be super busy for me-events Sat and Sun. These are the last for this year. Wanted to get off Monday but I can't- it's too busy. I will have to see if I can cram the chores in somehow. Echoing Venus, what's the date Conquest?

Knitting seems like a lost form? Maybe I'm wrong. My mother learned from her mother. Whos teaching kids now? They aren't learning it in school. That's a very thoughtful thing you do Phoebe. Giving back.

Love the flowers Vee! Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself.

Happy Friday.

Lots of knitters on my mother's side, Arbor but she never took to it, and I had a hard time learning as a leftie. I did once teach myself, but never stayed with it to get good at it. I made half a sweater, lol. The loom is just a circle with pegs. Fool proof!

BD, you have me inspired to try doing a craft fair someday. Maybe there will be something small nearby, and I can try it.

I prefer to crochet. I love the hats for homeless idea, really nice! I've been thinking about making leg warmers because they're good for walking in the cold and also because leg warmers are totally awesome, but I ended up finally just buying a couple pairs. I used to enjoy crocheting, but now I'm just so busy that I can't do crafty stuff without stressing over all the other crap I need to do. Kinda kills it for me. Hopefully one day when the little one is older I'll be able to do stuff like that again.

Speaking of which, time to get up and moving!

V I hope little V is okay

Have a great day all!

I do crafty stuff, and cooking, to avoid all the stuff I have to do! Well, and because I enjoy it.

A week from tomorrow...!!!!!!!! I'm excited, nervous, scared, overwhelmingly in love, just a whirlwind of emotions going on in my head. It's pretty wild. lol Thanks for sharing my excitement.

I love the flowers Venus! I hope little v is feeling better soon. I'll bet that tree removal was scary for her. And I hope you get some deserved rest.

Unfortunately, there isn't a crafty bone in my body. I've tried it all. And many of the women in my family crochet, sew, and embroider. Funny that I haven't picked it up. I think your jewelry would be a big hit at a craft fair, Phoebe. It's truly beautiful. Go for it, girl!

What'd you end up doing with all of those walnuts, Briar? Just curious (and hungry).

Good luck this weekend, BD!

TGIF high 5s all around!!!

A lot of emotions for sure Conquest. I totally get that. Wait until you have a baby! Talk about emotion!

Doing well over here. New car came in already. Going to pick it up tomorrow morning and finalize the deal.

Bring on the weekend. Time to decorate Clark Griswold style!
