Nothing so exciting over here LOL. Got my porcelain village up-that's a chore!
Congratulations to Mrs. Cowboy! So much has happened in the last year.

I'm not even done with my first cup of coffee and Mrs. Cowboy's post has made my day. It's just a great example of starting new chapters fresh and free. A big occasion with no part tainted by alcoholic regret. It is a WIN and it is in the books now! So now the formal part is done Conquest (wife and mom now) and y'all can just savor the experience. Oh that's good stuff!!!!!

Phoebe, it's discouraging to read about your mixer. I wonder sometimes if there could be a mini-industrial revival here in the US based on quality. Sorely needed in some respects imo.

I go through food phases.....was ribs a while back. Now I'm in a Dutch baby phase so that's on this morning's agenda.......after a little more coffee. Perhaps a run this afternoon if weather allows. What's going on with the rest of the team?

Wishing each of you the best day.

And, this is to small to be in a post shared with Conquest's happy wishes.

Thanks for the sympathy for my frustrations with the mixer. It is most certainly a first world problem, me whining about my fancy, overpriced mixer, but I was so disappointed. Seems it may be a coating used to polish the bowls and I may be able to scrub it off with, of all things, Bar Keepers Friend. It is a polish for stainless steel.

I think we use something like that for our stove top phoebe. I hope it works for you. Did y'all find a proper Christmas tree?

That's a real bummer Phoebe. I guess that's why they always say to wash stuff before you use it. I'm a big proponent of that.

Wife went out last night for the first time in six months. Well deserved. A Christmas party with the ladies at a lovely home. She doesn't drink much, but she did last night. Only a few she says, but I see her feeling it today. My comments, "Yeah, I don't miss those days."

Anyways, she brought home some leftovers. A nice cheesecake not even touched and a few bottles of wine. I mean, I wish she hadn't, but I'm cool with it. I see it as a lapse of judgement on her part due to the drinks in her head.

I got a date later on this evening with that cheesecake though. 8)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

Hi Leigh, I hope you're day is a productive one.

Arbor, a neighbor gave us a Creme brle cheesecake some time back. It was outrageously good to me. A nice sweet treat will be a good way to wrap up the weekend.......I don't like that we're already talking about the weekend wrapping up.

My 1.5 days of the week that I'll eat a couple of treats is done and now I think a run is in order. Maybe I won't get blown off the trail as it's quite the blustery day.

Oooo...creme brle cheesecake. Sounds amazing. Enjoy that run in the wind Mark. We just got back from a Costco trip. Scored myself some nice slippers for $9.99.

Four batches of cookies are in the oven.

Cranberry bread is on the agenda for tomorrow.
