One Year and Under Club Part 50
HinPaul, always good to see a new face here.
Amp, well done on 8 months. Remember, not all our moods are alcohol related, everyone has down times. The trick is to remain focussed on your progress.
SG congratulations on 250 and WWS congrats on 100.

Welcome, Paul! I hope you get as much out of this group as we do. I still read other threads and learn different things from each. One of the big benefits for me in the Undies is that not only is everyone very serious about sobriety, but we're all actively working on it and supporting each other as we go.
(((Glee))), here's a "real" hug for you!
Toots, always good to see you :-)

Great post glee! It is wonderful how everyone can lean on and get support from each other here. Thanks everyone. I really do look forward to getting up sober every morning and reading all of your posts.
Welcome Paul!
Welcome Paul!
Paul - Welcome!
Van - It's nice to see you!
I'm up early this morning enjoying the quiet and calm before the next couple days' festivities get underway. Today I have to work a half day, but will come home, cook, and host the in laws' family celebration. Tomorrow my kids will open presents then we'll head over to see my dad. My family is all local. After that I have four days off - no work, no hockey, no schedule looming over my head. I have a lot of ideas of things I may do, but if nothing gets done, that's ok too.
I've been reflecting on how far I've come since my first Christmas sober. The life I had led while i was drinking was what I'd always planned for it to be, but when I stopped drinking I realized that I had spent more time crafting what it looked like from the outside than respecting whether it was right for me - living for the outcome instead of the moment. So much of my first year sober was figuring out how to break through my and others' expectations of me and live authentically. It's been a blessing to learn how to do so.
I hope everyone has a peaceful holiday!! Stay safe and sober Undies.

Popping in to wish the Undies a sober . I know for some it will be difficult, still is for me but I have faith in you all!
Glad to see the new members too! Welcome!!
Got cooler late yesterday, but still supposed to be in 50's (10c) for the next few days. Hope for a quiet day and then Midnight Mass tonight. First time in years no Christmas singing... sort of missed it.. sort of didn't.
Take care all!
