A chilly rain here this morning, but I'll take it over snow any day.

Have a great Tuesday, overs!

Hi overs, FBL I'm listening to your broadcast as I am reading and writing on SR, I am fascinated! Thank you for sharing it. It's also lovely to hear your voice

(((Mags)))

Not much happening in Tootsville, I need to get myself organised to begin with the Christmas decs but just not feeling Christmassy at the moment. My tree takes about 3 hours to put together before I even decorate so it is something of a mission to do everything. I bought a whole new set of tree decs this year, a change of colour, but still can't get in my groove. Maybe I need to start watching some Christmas movies - kill or cure eh?

Toots-Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi does it to me everytime. I can get in the Christmas spirit in the middle of July if I listen to that.

Have a great Tuesday. I actually feel like I'm the last one to say that always....good evening?

((Mags)) that is awful re the colleagues that took their own lives. My thoughts are with you.

I had a surprise visit from my ex-work colleague today - she is now retired and I miss her terribly, so it was really good to see her.

Itch, enjoy your new TV. Now I'll for sure have to bring my old TV shows down to Louisiana

We got just a bit of snow this morning. Weatherman says near 50F by the weekend. If we skip winter this year, that's okay by me.

Have a great hump-day, overs!

Happy Hump Day FBL! Send some of that snow this way!
It is sooo windy and warm right now! Well, warm being +5 celsius, but that is so weird for here, for this time. Should be -20. It's the "Pineapple Express" apparently. I'll take it I guess, but just seems like a big old dose of Climate Change to me. Plus I need it to snow so that I can insulate my trailer! As it is the bottom part is freezing, usually snow banks make it warm by now. Yeesh. Northern life.
SW I really enjoy how happy it makes you to feed your niece.
Enjoy your new doodads Itch.

The rain has stopped here but has been replaced by 100% photon bombardment. Protective eyewear necessary.

Hey Wolf!

Mags,
You doing OK kiddo? I'm sorry you have uncertainty making your world feel a but threatening. That feeling of impending doom is always more than the results ever warrant. Sometimes our innate survival mechanisms are fooled by civilized stress into reacting as if our very life was threatened. Fortunately. we learn to think things through past the frightening thoughts. As recovering/recovered alcoholics, we are acutely aware of our emotional crutch and how we have to think past it. If you are not now doing some aerobic exercise you might consider it. It doesn't require a health club to walk up and down stairs and do squats and lifts with everyday objects. I joined a health club once and it didn't help one bit. Then they said I had to go to gain anything! Dang! It never fails that the effort to go make an effort would have been enough. Funny how folks who live less than a mile from their "health" club drive there to stationary bike ten miles and jog in circles a mile or two. I am the funniest creature because all that is me. Don't look to me as a health nut. I have equipment and my second building cleared to use it. Dang! Another case of gotta make the effort to set it up then use the self discipline to actually do it daily. I admire Instant for his biking and MB for her workouts, FBL for his walks and Zippy for his , umm, his. . . brevity?

FBL,
We will! The TV will be here between 12 and 3 according to the delivery email. It is 10:43 now and I had better get moving. I've been staying up until 3 getting up at 9. Nit enough rest. I need to get back to dawn watching or work. Either will work.

I envy you the snow.

IP,
5 C is 41 F for us USA types. That is warm. 0 C is 32 degrees F. Hope you get your snow. We won't eve get more than a dusting of snow that melts on contact on day every year or two. We'll be moving to the Denver area when we are through here. At least that is the plan for now. I hate the idea of moving, but we can sell or donate everything here and make a fresh start. We'll likely be downsizing to a townhouse or some such.

Sassy,
You know the routine, downsize and eliminate the yard work and maintenance at some point. Then when one of us becomes a sole survivor we move to a senior community before we have to, like you've done. I'll be a happy camper if we can just avoid the memory issues some get.

You're getting the front that we had come through in the last three days.

Guys gotta go. My SH went back to work for the first time today since a few months ago when she took a leave of absence to care for Mom. Now it looks like her Dad is going to be even more of a handful. And we have a druggie niece that is trying to con him out of money. She goes to jail for a long time for embezzling her daughter's small $220k trust fund after going through her part of the settlement of half that for drugs and stupid partying for a mother of three over 30. by the hospital for malpractice at her birth causing complete inability to develop to awareness of her surroundings. She has had three children out of wedlock, by three different fathers and lives at home driving her parents nuts but they continue. Her kids are going to their fathers when she goes to jail. Every family has their own black sheep. Ours are certifiable! I just grin and let her handle her family and am here as a sounding board. They so try to spread their drama around and we haven't participated for ten years or more. Boy that sounds judgmental and condescending. I just won't own the problems of others that they self create. And keep doing as if they could never be happy, being happy.

Wow!
Sorry about all the extra periods where I meant to put comas. And missing the e in one and not hitting the keys at all and making incomplete sentences. Spell check won't catch on instead of one, or you in place of your. I changed keyboards and mouse and can type incorrectly much faster now.

Gotta be smarter than the spell checker!

I am falling asleep here waiting for the call that the delivery truck is on the way. It is supposed to be between 12 and three and it is 1:48 pm now.

I didn't get a good night's sleep last night from being excited about the new TV. I have been slow to set up the new Surface Pro because I am researching all the tips tweaks and traps with Windows 10 and the Surface Pro. I already decided I may have to go back and start over, as I might not like the new default programs I allowed. But I have to play with them before I know for sure. I have my old one so no imposition and I won't sell it until I am done and satisfied with my system setup.

The in-laws are making taking care of Dad more difficult. The trouble with family is . . . family!
