Now finished wrapping, got in the last of my shopping and have one day left of work. Hubby is not well, got a chest infection or something. He is suffering stoically, one would hardly know he was ill. Apart from him asking for medicines, hot toddies, tissues, run his bath, change his bedding, check if he has a temperature..... Other than that, you'd hardly know he was home.
Morning everyone. The party rounds have finished. I rode my bike to the shopping centre and managed to get most thing i needed in my panniers. No parking nightmares. I just need to go back with the car and get a couple of things i have identified. We have a bit of a crowd on xmas day, its going to be hot, we do a meal with salads and things i can cook on the BBQ's
Morning overs
I just laughed out loud at your words, toots. My husband is also poorly, think it might be tonsillitis (the worst ever in the world), but he soldiers on exactly like Mr Toots! Aren't they brave sixfootsixyearsolds.
Popping over to my step mums today in Cleethorpes and also visit my friend, we've been friends since I was 6 and she was 6 and 11 months! It's important when you're that age! That means we've been friends for 51 years, gulp! Time flies when you're having fun.
Know what you mean with old haunts, Inpar, I point out everything to hubby when we go to Cleethorpes, Every time!!! Long suffering husband ladida, hehe.
Instant, Christmas is time when you need a bike! Parking is murder! Nice one!
Watching the new Star Wars film tonight.
Hope it's a good day for everyone. Speak later.

Hubby still suffering bravely. I'm thinking of putting him forward for some sort of award. ( possibly an Oscar!) I shouldn't be rotten, he really is feeling unwell, and if I get ill over the holidays I will wish I had kept schtum! ( though of course I would get a milder version!) He has left off writing his last will and testament to brave the crowds and finish his Christmas shopping. ( and cough over a bunch of unsuspecting Dundonians!)
My last day before the break, working a longer day today so I don't have to go in tomorrow. Woohoo!!
Instant you rock!

Hi there Overs! Quick check in before I head off for our office Christmas Lunch / Quiz / Party. I might not get on much over the next couple of weeks so I just wanted to send a big Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!
Toots - hope the hubby gets well soon.

Just up waiting for the coffee to brew. My dad and his wife have gone to the gym. Yesterday was great, I got some new duds bought for me, then got to hang out with my best friend, her partner and their one year old who is sooooo sweet! He gave me the sweetest little baby hug when I left, laid his head quietly on my shoulder for a moment! My heart melted.
Then I saw my ex, we drove around and looked at Christmas lights and had dinner at our old favourite sushi place and coffee at the greatest classic italian coffee shop. I decided to not see my dog on this visit, because a) it will confuse him to see me here and b) it will be hard for me to see him for a few hours then say goodbye again for another two weeks when he FINALLY comes home to me.
So is everyone in the Christmas/Holiday spirit? I am getting there.....
Toots and Mags, have your poor husbands survived?
I have lots of Christmas wrapping to do today. And I'm making gingerbread houses with my girlfriend! I've never made them before, first time!

Good morning, Overs!
Omg, you all seem to be in the holiday spirit :-).
I'll try not to be too much Debbie Downer. So I've been battling a fungus for months and yesterday my doc decided enough is enough and I now have 3 days (two left) of oral antifungal pills. For about 8 hours after I take a pill is total misery. Can't keep food down. Last pill is on Christmas Eve. How do I manage such truly awful timing! Ah well, as I keep reminding myself, this too shall pass!
