I bought "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius tonight Leigh because of your 24 hour quote. Have you read such? It looks like my kinda thing.

See what you've done? Thank you for the inspiration! I took a detour on my way home and stopped at one of my favorite town parks. There's a beautiful lake to look at and hike around. I parked and sat quietly listening to the rain hit the water. The mallard ducks were out gracefully gliding along the top of the waters edge. Was there I read your quote. Rest is history.

I just found a site where I can get free E-books, so I'm downloading Meditations too Arbor.

I think I have meditations, too. Arbor, your day sounds amazing. Going where the beauty and peace is... always a wise decision. I'll dig around for that book tomorrow for sure.

And get ready for this... I did it! Woohoo! And to top it off, I think I figured out that I was/am reacting to the steroid nasal spray. I skipped it last night and today the headache is gone. Plus, my energy and appetite started to creep back as the day went on today... I sure hope that's the solution. Today was so stinkin busy that I didn't get to call the doc. But everything went just fine. Im ready to sleep it off and move on with tomorrow. Thanks so very much for your kind words and well wishes. They clearly found me and helped tremendously.

Never doubted you for a second Conquest!

And that's good if you've found the reason you were feeling so bad.

EDIT: You should be asleep Leigh....not happening again tonight?

Have you tried a nice warm foot soak?
It might sound silly, but it can really help you sleep.

Imsomnia is the worst Leigh. When I ask my Dr. about it, he says that my mind is always racing and that I should just relax and stop worrying about things. Hmm. Easy for him to say. I take OTC meds sometimes. I read the reviews and people say that have to take 1/2 a tablet or it's too strong. I need to take 2 to do anything. Seriously.

Gmorning BD! Hearing "stop worrying" or "don't worry so much" only makes me worry more. Nights that my brain won't turn off, It's usually because I've got a lot of little things to do, I feel scattered. Making a list sometimes helps. And random cleaning. It meets a need for control and order when things seem out of order I guess.
Leigh, I hope you got some sleep!

Feeling even better and more like myself this morning, not nearly 100%, but much closer. My friend tipped me off on that nasal spray, saying that she had similar side effects and couldn't take it. I think I owe her some chocolate and a huge hug today.

A close friend of mine is having a baby soon. Our friends are throwing a shower for both of us this evening. It's so very sweet and thoughtful. I'm really looking forward to it. Then tonight, I'll be chilling at home, still packing and shuffling things around. It's nice to be able to take my time with it. I've got a month and I know it'll creep up on me so I'm trying my best to stay on top of it. I will NOT take good health for granted. It is absolutely golden.

Love yall! Have a wonderful Wednesday

Glad you feel a bit better, Conquest. I have a friend who also got terrible headaches from a steroid nasal spray. My daughter had one prescribed and it had a horribly strong fragrance. So odd when you are putting it right into your nose. She could not stand it.

Kids home today. It is pouring and daughter has her volunteer gig at the dog shelter. That will be wet and muddy!

I should make a pot of soup. That would hit the spot for the kids tonight.

I like your attitude Conquest. Here's to a good day for ya.

If there was any benefit at all to drinking it was the turning off the mind thing when it came to sleep. But I see it now as just a lazy excuse to pass out on the couch by 8:30. My wife has the ability to fall asleep in literally five minutes by "turning off" her brain she says. I still have trouble with that and have always been a light sleeper. I use ear plugs mostly every night and try to think of things that make me happy.

Pouring rain here again too Phoebe. Here's to staying dry today!

Arbor, I'm not much at remembering bible scripture, but your post made me think of one of my favorites...Philippians 4:8.

"Finally, bretheren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think of these things." KJV

If I have trouble falling asleep, I use the above as criteria to select what I'm thinking about. A great example is your time at the lake yesterday. Works pretty good......and 25 mg benadryl.

Glad yesterday is over for you Conquest.

Wishing each of you the best day.
