You're sweet, Leigh. Acting is the one thing I have a passion for, and I'd have Been busy and with people had I got the role. I worry about my mood and being lonely with too much time on my hands. Thanks so much for your support. I'd have dealt with this by drinking in the past. I had a fleeting moment, not of thinking of drinking, but of, aw man, what's there to look forward to now? I have to work on this.

Thats a tough business to not take something personally. You must have really thick skin or great coping skills. Thats why i couldnt do sales. Up and down roller coaster. I couldnt deal with the constant rejection.

Thanks, Snoozy. Tiki is great. I don't give him a shampoo and set too often, because it depletes the good oils in his skin. I'm thankful to have him, another heartbeat in my home.

Hey, letigo, thanks. It was an amateur production. It's a hobby of mine. Hopefully I can try out next season if there's a part for someone my age. The plays for the rest of this season don't have any such parts.

I too am grateful for all of you, - your honesty, it grounds my thoughts and let's me know I'm not alone through the highs and lows.

My bumps at work have dissipated. Can you believe, I rode it out, said nothing and it paid off. Turns out one has left now due to health reasons, and the other was due to be moved into something else. Patience....boy has sobriety taught me patience.

Leshar, you know, hurt feelings aren't soemthing to be scared of. We are human, rejection hurts. I think drinking made me think every bad feeling was "wrong" and had to be soothed by drinking. I was crying the other day about something and it felt good, because that is what humans are built to do - express feeling, feel it - not numb it.

Thank you for sharing your vulnerabilities, but you are much stronger than you think. Keep looking at condos....if only to see what's out there, get across the market. Maybe you are meant to move to an area with more social opportunities?
