Just hopefully cut the lawn for the last time this year. Had the yard free of leaves. Now the winds have picked up and they're all blowing back in. Don't matter. Was fun running the leaf blower with my boy.

I like the smell of rosemary. At the garden centers I find myself running my hand over it and then on my jeans. Grow it too....leftover from some Christmas when it was pruned like a tree.

Your day sounds good Arbor, I can picture that time with your boy. Good stuff. In the past I did all my yard work drinking.

Decided on cornbread and cheddar biscuits. Also opted for taco soup....phoebe's event was influential. Will also offer crawfish/lump crab bisque. I like options when I don't know what folks like. Dessert options are caramel cake and Italian cream. .........I think my belly grew just typing that.

Yep. Same here Mark. When I bought this house over ten years ago one of my favorite things to do was yard work on a Saturday while drinking. I don't look back on those times too fondly anymore which means progress. It's much better sober such simple things with the boy.

Sounds delicious, Mark. Do you have room for a party crasher?

Chili is simmering on my stove. Love the aroma.

Menu sounds pretty killer Mark. Esp dessert with the caramel. Anything caramel will do!

I have a Norman Rockwell illustration in my mind, Arbor.

Your menu sounds delicious, Mark!! Are you the cook in the family?

Ours was supposed to be somewhat potluck, but the kids or families didn't get it. Typically these team parties have been ice cream with the girls bringing things to go on top. Since this was dinner hour, I decided tacos were good and they could contribute the add ins like cheese, lettuce, beans, etc... Two people are bringing things like that and two are bringing fondue friendly items. The rest wrote "dessert" and two others are bringing food that sounds yummy, but not taco related. So, I may have overbought things to be sure I have what is needed for at least basic tacos. May be doing creative things with taco meat all week long! Might need that soup recipe, Mark.

Can I have the taco soup and crab bisque, with some of Leigh's chili? I have a big old pot of lotion on my stove LOL.

Meeting friends for dinner-girl's night-out at a place I have not been to in 15 years. Huge steaks. A carnivorous evening for sure. Have a good evening my friends!

Have a great time, BD.

I've saved a bowl of chili for you.

Hey guys, company will arrive in about 15 minutes. I'm getting better at these things without pre-drinking. Thankfully the anxiety I feel right now generally disappears pretty quickly after folks arrive and I'm distracted.

I'm not really the cook during the week. More on weekends....especially if weather keeps me in. Wife made all but the biscuits and I bought the desert from a local restaurant.

Thinking of our class and touching base makes me feel better. . Have fun phoebe. Gotta run......

PS......I wish it was all of you guys coming over!

Me too. Just did my favorite, signature blend. Lavender, lemongrass, peppermint and rosemary. It's very fresh and clean and sells well.

That'd be so fun! Enjoy your party, Mark!
Phoebe, There's no such thing as too many tacos. Excellent idea!

Not worse, not better here. Cowboy just said it has poured rain since last night and temps are dropping. Yuck! At least I'm dry and comfy on the couch. College football on, putting a scrapbook together for Jr., laundry is never-ending... Life is good.

BD... I love anything with peppermint or lemon. I've always wondered if someone could bottle up the smell of Meyer lemon blossoms. There is nothing better smelling on the planet. What did you end up making?

Wishing you all an awesome weekend!
