Phoebe, your pup reminds me of a lanky teen just laying around. I'm sure you'll pull the plan together with grace....the fondue caught my eye as I've not had that in years.

With guests expected tomorrow evening the plan was to grill. The weather has a different idea and it may be a pot of chili and grilled cheese type night. Gotta pull out my patio heater and see it it'll fire up.

I hope the weekend is a nice one for the gang.

So what can I find for dinner....
Funny - I'm making chili tomorrow, Mark. Making a huge batch and then breaking it down into meal size portions for the freezer.

That's a clever idea Leigh. I always learn from y'all.

This is our spoiled pup's idea of hard work. What a life! And she's in my chair.

Gonna go check out the cake.. It'll hit the spot for sure.

Are y'all listening to Christmas tunes yet? The radio station I generally listen to switched on November 1 to 24 hour Christmas. I can't go from ghouls and goblins to reindeer and elves that quickly. I need the turkey time in between.

Nooooooo! Not ready for Chistmas tunes.

What is strat cake?

Plugging away in my bedroom. It has been a place where I toss things I pull from all the clothing and junk we collect. I need to make it a paradise rather than a junk room!

Forgot to mention that your doggie is cute, Mark. I wish mine turned out smaller, but he's a keeper. So much personality! I had hoped he would top out around 30 or so, lol. When you get a rescue, it really is a surprise!

I just love the pup pics!
Stayed home while my guy went on to the hunting spot, just not ready to sit out in the rain with this crud. On the menu? Chicken noodle soup. That should do the trick.
Happy weekending everyone!

Hope you feel better soon, Conquest.

Up early. Son has basketball tryouts. Had weird dreams last night! In one, I was waiting around at the basketball tryouts and chatting with a mom I like very much but don't often see anymore. She ate two live bees! It was vivid, in color! Her face as He chewed it was priceless. Some sort of therapy for an illness. Weird, huh?

That's a strange one phoebe! I've seen pooh bear eat bees but no one else. Good luck to your son today. My little one is playing this year....mostly for social purposes.

Long workout on today's agenda and then polish things up around here for guests this evening. Rain, rain, rain.....where were you in August and September?

Wishing my home team the best day.

Happy Saturday everyone. Good call on staying home Conquest. I hope you feel better.

Odd dreams can linger with you much off day. Kinda cool how that happens Phoebe. Good luck with the taco party today.

Enjoy that rain Mark. We still need it around here.

Trying to decide which essential oils blends to make for lotion. Too many options is not good-I've decided to narrow it to six choices. Hope this is my biggest challenge today!

Now that's tougher than nails. I eat bees for a snack, too that!

I can get bogged down with too many options sometimes. Analysis paralysis.

My little one loves al the fragrance stuff, lotions, lip balm, candles. Unfortunately it makes me sneeze.

My biggest decision today is cornbread or cheddar biscuits. That's a sign of a good day.

Cheddar biscuits sound great with the chili!

Most of the commercial stuff is fragrance oils-synthetic and also way too strong IMO. That's what you are sneezing at. I'm working on essential oil blends-all natural, steam distilled from plants like lavender.

Sounds lovely, BD. I had a Jafra lotion once, it smelled like ginger. It was blended with something, maybe citrus? It was a limited edition thing, but I loved the bright and crisp scent!

Just used a bit of Febreeze and carpet fresh to be sure my dog is not the dominant aroma at the taco party. A little goes a long way with those smelly products. I have all the windows open and used so very little. Not sure I will use that Febreeze stuff again. Really strong!

Both sound great, Mark.. Cornbread is more traditional, I guess, and delicious. The cheddar biscuits have little flair!!!!! Hmmmm.
