Night all.

So...I went to the hospital today because I was sick from basically inhaling smoke all night. What a dummy. I had to breathe oxygen for three hours. I feel like a jack***. And realized I have to get my crap together and be more organized if I want to not kill myself out here. My boss told me that she is seriously worried about me, that I'm in over my head. Which makes me more determined to make it through this winter. Stupid? Who knows.
There were large dog-like prints all over my back yard and deck today!
I am learning how to cut wood also. What the heck am I doing. From Berlin to here.
Fire's going good today, no smoke yet. I'm keeping a close eye on it.
I'm sure that I will get the hang of all this.I think I just need to be more patient and plan better.
Think of the pioneers. :-/
Mags, thanks. Those coyotes were something else. Never heard them so close up before. I will definitely be keeping my dog close, once he gets here. After Christmas.

Update: my landlord just came and put new weather stripping on the sliding door and told me that I'm setting the thermostat too low and to not be paranoid about spending money on propane, to just make myself comfortable and if the price is too high at the end we'll work something out.
I feel a lot better now. And the fire is burning beautifully.

Sounds like you have a good landlord, IP. That's scary about hospital trip for oxygen! Please take good care of yourself.

Also glad that you're OK InPar...honestly, I don't know which would scare me more, the smoke or the coyotes.

And wasn't last night second-date night?
I hope that went well.

Hope you are fully recovered IP. Is it worth getting one of those motion detector lights? Though maybe that would disturb your nights as much as the wildlife. As for your boss, weren't you doing two jobs at once only recently?? I think she needs a check up from the neck up.

Still here, the wind picks up it rains, it dies down, then all begins again. We are due some snow here at the weekend, but I'll be visiting further south so probably won't see it.

The best chipper (chippy) is Bridge of Allan in Stirlingshire. They also sell homemade ice cream ( though not together except to the heavily pregnant)

Oh honey, in my fat drunk days (or daze) I could do just that! Then after go to the bar and slosh scotch all night.

Hope you are all recovered IP. Wood stoves are fun but can be tricky so be careful! Hope the date went well too.

I had a work breakdown yesterday. My problem building acts like 12 year olds sometimes. There was this whole thing going on about a transfer of ownership of a unit. Long story. Anyway it was all going on in secret with people sneaking around to meet privately, then telling me "don't tell X about this...." and then X saying "don't tell Y but I know.."

I blew a gasket saying was I was more than busy supervising the construction that was going on, paying your bills and talking to the architect about the crumbling front entrance roof. Furthermore, as the registered agent of record of this place, and in accordance with the bylaws, I have to be informed when a unit is marketed and if it is sold. I DO NOT HAVE TIME for Junior High childishness.

Dang it felt good to go off on them.

Nice Drake! Yeowch, don't get on YOUR bad side!!! I always wished I could tell people off like that. I just get flustered and end up sounding dumb.
I feel better today, thanks, but now I've missed a day of work, sigh.
The date was good. Really good, he's nice and sweet and brought me flowers. Wasn't expecting that.
Have a good thursday everyone.

Glad you feel better Drake

We broke our king size bed in the last couple weeks I attached some brackets recently but it wasn't enough so out came the drill the saw some spare quality timber a pack of good screws and a ruler

Basically the base was barely put together so I have reinforced replaced and enhanced the original structure and we basically have a new bed it's made me think I should of just built my own bed with quality timber I didnt think I would be able to but after today I think I could

just relaxing now

Wink

Wolfie, broke your bed!!! Pleased you reinforced it!

Inpar, I'm sure you will soon adapt to where you live, pleased your date went well.

Hope everyone's ok. I went advanced for a change and can't see anyone's posts! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it, I've only been here for 2 years and a bit.

I've got 28 months tomorrow. How time has flown. I remember being pleased at 7 days. And 6 months' I was ecstatic!

I need to have my eyes tested. It was always my close up reading I had a problem with but I've noticed my far sight isn't as good as it was, so think I may need glasses permanent, not just for reading and PC work.

See you overs.x
