3hours into a 13 hour journey to our girls. Storming like crazy.
Normally this would completely freak me out. I would be half drunk and dozing. Sobriety is changing my perceptions and challenging some long held fears.
Thank goodness for Mr3. His love is my constant.
I will stay sober and enjoy it.

I'm driving 4 hours today with my 2 children to stay away for the weekend.

Reasons to be thankful

I'm sober, previously I would be driving after having had a skinful, putting all our lives in danger : (((

I'm looking forward to a half way stop for a skinny latte spiced pumpkin coffee from Starbucks!

It'll be nice to sleep in a super king bed all by myself, lol!

I'm going to see some friends and family I haven't seen for many months : ))

Dangers

I'm the only adult but I'm determined not to buy wine, I've thought about it but this weekend is not the time.

Will be logging on over the next few days

Another great day in life.

Made it safely to our girls. Was able to surprise grand at her schools fall festival. I had a ball with her. Won two cakes and a knife set! Then came back to daughters house for a family pow wow with his mother. I read some of his interrogatory, the things he says about his mother are atrocious. I'm bat crap crazy (to quote my girls) and his is a special evil crazy.
Thirty days sober today. Proud of the step, but my real achievement is ninety days....haven't been sober that long since my grandson died four years ago.
I like life thru sober eyes, mind and spirit.

I am happy to be needed. Grand has already made one dinner request. Meetings start at eight in the morning. Today we will enjoy our family and count our blessings.

Glad to see you all are doing well. 42 days, 6 weeks, almost half way to 90 here. I still have bad days but I'm really liking this.

Daughter took me to get my hair cut. Last lady gave me a mullet!!!! All gone now. Now it's short, spiked and sassy. Mr 3 loves it.
Grilling pork steaks with green beans and roasted potatoes!
Haircut lady poured two glasses of vodka laced tea. I drank my bottled water. But really, I was SOOO tempted. Usually she and I share a quart of moonshine, so I am proud to have a new relationship with our girl!

Hi everyone! So much good news!! Congrats jd, FF, 3wolves! I hope you're feeling better Madilta.
I am doing well - 2 months sober tomorrow! I find it hard to believe. I had a "kinda" close call on Friday. I met my Mom and fiance at our favorite restaurant (I've gone there since I was a child). They were sitting at the bar - which is fine with me - we always sit there - bartender is a friend. What I wasn't expecting was to see a large, chilled glass of my favorite wine waiting for me. Damn, damn, damn!! It looked so good. I almost panicked, but I took a deep breath and calmly told the bartender, "I'm sorry, I think I'll just have water today."!!!! I was very proud of myself. But one thing that bothered me, was that both my Mom and BF know I am not drinking .... idk.
p.s. my Mom drank the wine!! It was a good weekend - BF did not drink as much as usual and abstained all day/night Saturday!

Good for you CapeGirl! I wouldn't put too much thought into the glass of wine. Normies don't always fully understand what we're going through and can do unintentional thoughtless things.

I hope yall are well. I've been keeping busy but life still has its share of struggles. Its been harder not to drink lately honestly so I should come here more. I keep dreaming about alcohol.
