I think we should never forget that we are not our disease/addiction/affliction/illness - whatever you want to call it.

We are, and always are, much more than that. :)

I didn't believe in anything divine when I quit either Leshar - but I believed in love and goodness because I'd experience d both and I clung to the faith that I'd experience both again - and I did :)

Ladybug - it took me 15 years of trying - everytime I got a little closer to doing the right things in the right order that would keep me sober.

Don't lose heart - keep adding things to your programme - you will get there :)

Hiya Snooz I have a lil cut in the crease of my achilles yesterday when I was telling Mrs sw I still had my socks on & my plasters underneath while telling her I noticed a load of dried blood on the sock at the back I was like what !?

Luckily it's still a small cut but definitely no exercising today maybe push ups sit ups today indoors

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much to all of you for the support, encouragement and kind words. I truly could NOT do this without you all.

I think I have finally got into my thick skull just how serious and dangerous this disease can be. The next time my AV comes out of nowhere and tries to ambush me I will post here and do whatever it takes to stay away from that first drink. Because after that first drink all bets are off.

It's s beautiful summer like day here and I am so grateful to have another chance at getting this right. Praying October 7th is my final sobriety date. Thanks again for being my lifeline xoxo

I know that you can do this, sweet LadyBug. Logging-in and posting here when you feel triggered or the AV won't settle down is a great idea.

Been a challenge to keep up.
I;ve been very busy working on a vehicle and trouble shooting my daughter's computer. It's that time of the year when we need to get ready for the weather turning cold. Screen house needs to come down and Halloween Décor up.:Pumpkinwave:
