Class of July 2013 Part 23
I didn't end up having any, but it is my favorite fall treat. A place called Dunkin Donuts makes it the best! Of course you have to get a pumpkin donut to go with it I am doing well tonight. Hubby made homemade gyros and I'm drinking ginger ale. No cravings, phew. On to day 6. Thanks for being here

Ladybug...have a good night.
I'm not sure pumpkin coffee would be for me, hehe. BUT, if it keeps you from drinking, go for it! Keep yourself with a full tummy to stave off cravings!
Lol, a show just came on tv about giant pumpkins.

Just saw this great show on TV about a woman who was learning to swim, and I could see so many analogies between that and getting sober.
How we have to re-learn (or learn!) stuff.
At one point, her coach said, "she's getting frustrated she's not where she wants to be, but that's a good thing", he said it's at those points where frustration is a good thing because she needs deal with the frustration to make her push through and keep trying and learn the skill.
It just resonated so much with how we can sometimes see our frustration at xyz (not being able to drink, frustration with our loved ones, work, etc), as a barrier, when its actually a good thing, becasue pushing through it helps us learn the skill of dealing with it. Anyway, we kinda know that, but it was just reassuring and a good reminder, that we all face challenges in learning to do new things.
"Needing to deal with the frustration" is ok and part of the journey when doing something new.

Good morning!
Off to get me some pumpkin coffee, hehe. Just to clarify, there isn't any real pumpkin in this coffee, it's just flavored a little with pumpkin spice. It does make it a tad sweet so if you like your coffee black you probably wouldn't like it? My husband won't even try it
So glad I made it through the weekend, well, almost. I do feel different this time around. Like I just know I can't ever go back. It's like playing with fire if I do. You are all amazing and are helping me soooo much. Just want to say thank you. Love you all!!! Now for that pumpkin coffee
