So Briar......with that easiest bread in the world recipe, what liquid (and how much) goes with the three cups flour et al? Not a natural cook here, I need specifics!

Round 3 of dress shopping beginning soon. A good friend from church just agreed to play the flute for the ceremony, super excited to have her there. And cowboy just brought home two stray dogs from his hunting spot...hmmmm...let's see how the day plays out. This should be interesting. I'm going to need some dark chocolate asap. Lol

2 dogs, ooh boy! ? That could turn into a lotta work!

We went apple picking, then got the dog and took him for a hike at some conservation land in town. It was about two miles, and some hills and bumpy with roots and rocks. I have 12,500 steps on my fit bit. That is a very good day for me. I will probably walk the dog once more today, maybe. Need to get dinner ready. Kids want "chicken on a stick." Kabobs. LOL. Son says "everything tastes better on a stick." Funny kid.

Husband went to go buy S/more fixings, and will have a fire pit for the kids later. Really perfect fall weekend here.

I know Mark, I totally forgot that part! I posted a follow up a few posts later.

1.5 cups slightly warm water.

Yikes...two extra dogs! Your guy is more soft hearted than me.

We ate lots of chicken-on-a-stick from street vendors on our NYC trip. It was pretty good and the price was too. Sounds like a nice evening ahead for the phoebe house!

Thanks Briar....gonna get this house smelling like bread soon.

How many dogs is that now Conquest?

Good thing is that it'll keep ya busy. Too busy to entertain any drinkin' thought that's for sure.

Another bonus of having two kids too.

I managed to find a very similar bread recipe that used fast acting yeast, which naturally I'd never heard of. My little one and her best bud went crazy over it and I managed to impress the spouse. The lamb chops were great (my girls wouldn't touch them) and I used BD's recipe for Parmesan roasted potatoes. Properly stuffed. Tomorrow is no school, so feels like Saturday. I had a nice run today, so ate relatively guilt free.

I hope the weekend shaped up well for our great team here. I think of y'all often.

BD, I recall that this was to be a busy weekend for you, I hope it was a success.
Wishing I had one of phoebe's s'mores.

Smoooores. Sounds like a great day, Phoebe. And I love my Fitbit. On Sundays, I'm happy to get anywhere close to 10,000. You're rockin it today!

The pups have found a temporary home elsewhere. (Thank goodness.) He saw them last weekend and then when he saw that they were still there, much skinnier, he brought them home. They were most likely dumped out there, just horrible. A quick text got them connected with a lady at church that volunteers for a local animal rescue facility. Hopefully, they'll find forever homes for them soon.

And I finally nailed a dress. Phew! It's a-line, just below the knee, ivory lace, super hippy-chic comfortable, totally my style and at an awesome price.

Looking forward to sleeping in an extra hour tomorrow. It's the little things that make a big difference, right?

Very impressed, Mark! All I did was the kabobs. I nuked the cello bag of fresh green beans. Kids had so many apples and cider donuts, then s'mores, that I did not cook a starch.

Have some more chicken to grill tomorrow. Chicken fits my food plan. It can be a challenge feeding growing kids and a chubby mom. Kids will want bread or pasta tomorrow. I just skip that. But now you all have me a ring to get out the bread machine. Hubby works, but kids have off tomorrow.

I'm happy for you on finding the dress Conqest. I imagine the search can become stressful for some.

I eat so much grilled chicken! It's my 'go to' protein. I'm a very low carb person, but not tonight. Potatoes AND bread. That's a wild time to me these days and I good with it. That recklessness is done until next weekend.

Sent Phoebe. There's a little profile thing you can set up with your choice of username and profile pic.

Be warned - I'm a crazy animal sometimes. 23,000 steps today. I'm not always like this.

25,000! Woohoo! I just wanted to see if I would get another Fitbit badge for that. I did, cool!

And honest truth...I am not tired at all. I feel like going for another walk!

I'll just be taking a couple pills now. Goodnight!
