RZ - It was a beautiful day yesterday in our part of the world! More to come!

SW - Glad your visit to your dad went smoothly, even though he was drinking. When dealing with others' alcoholism, or their toxic behavior, I've found Al Anon's 3 C's to be helpful for keeping my inner balance -- I didn't cause it. I can't control it. I can't cure it.

Mags - It looks like you've had a lovely weekend. I hope today is another great day!

Drake - Feel better soon!!

Itchy - I enjoy how you bring your stories back to your gratitude for sobriety. I too am grateful for the clarity to make the right choices, and the tools to act upon them, in recovery.

I slept in this morning after a busy Saturday. Time for a big cup of coffee, then another busy day. Enjoy the day Overs.

Hi guys,

Dee, Mags hope you enjoyed the first episode of Dr Who, a bit dark isn't it? Mind I did like his guitar playing!!

Drake I went without a to for a long time, even now, I don't always turn it on.

I've spent a few hours in the garden, now sitting in the house in the quiet as hubby, Gson and SIL(ish) are at Parkhead watching them play Dundee. I usually go through, but felt it would be a good bonding session for the 'boys' so magnanimously gave up my chance.

Zip glad the gig went well hun.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Dee, thanks for the fresh thread.

Zip, glad the gig went well. How's the foot holdin' up?

Drake, not much of a TV fan, eh? That's alright, I still like ya anyway

A shout-out to all the rest of the overs!

Tomorrow (9/21) is Itchy's 5th sober anniversary...hope you don't mind me jumpin' the gun, bud. This one's for you:

Way to go Itchy big Congratulations bud

I have just got back in from a massive 4-5 mile walk something really weird has happened

On the way back home I said let's do an extra bit and we went the long way round, on the last turn getting into where I live i see a tiny puppy running past

Then a boy who is chasing said puppy with stick gets frightened by me & my dog & stops dead in his tracks & becomes really polite I ask where did the dog come from he said not far I told him thank you

Mrs sw is running after the puppy and catches up with the puppy its so tiny has no collar just a tiny lil yorkshire terrier

We brought our dog home and tried to give the lil puppy milk but the lil mite was so scared

So we decided to take the puppy out holding her & hope someone is looking for her we gave 2 local shops my address so if they start looking hopefully they will knock at mine tonight its 6.11pm so I hope so

We brought her home I knew it was a girl whereas Mrs sw thought it was a boy

We have nicknamed her Dorothy although mrs sw is now calling her ToTo

When mrs sw was getting milk the lil lady started to crouch on the bed & I thought oh my lord lol

She done a piddle on my bed but its puppy pee so not a lot & its ok just washed the sheets they can get washed again I'm just trying to let her know its ok she's now just sitting in the corner of a room scared I think but were being very nice & giving her space

I'd keep walking to find thier owners but we have done a lot of mileage 7 miles exercise today something like that in all

Here is a pic

Thanks for new thread, Dee.

Congratulations itchy, five years, what an achievement! Brilliant!

Wolfie, do you think the lad had took it then let it go? Strange turn of events, I'm pleased little pup was rescued by yourselves. Hope you find its home if it has one.

Toots, peace and quiet for a while!

Zippy, pleased your gig went well.

Hiya Fbl

Gleefan, a sleep in sounds just the job.

And, Dee, I saw zippy thanking you for the new part, If there's any more parts going I wouldn't mind a new left knee and left shoulder, please!

We took Dorothy to the garden to do business she had a right ol search of the area
& done business

Glen our Jack Russell is downstairs as Dorothy is only a puppy

We'll do everything we can to reunite her with her owner she's currently snuggled with Mrs sw and me on the bed this time shes on a towel

This is so strange

Itch Man...congrats on 5 years clean and sober. Thank you for the friendship and positive influence you have provided to me and others on SR. You rock, my friend!

Now we can play...do you remember...

That was you and me with Chloe, VeeTee and Jhay that played the sober-coaster ride way back then.

Just as I wrote that msg my name was called lol there were ppl waiting maybe without apts

I got my dad's 2 remote control's exchanged for a £20 gift voucher he brought them in plastic bags I said where's the packaging ???

He shrugged his shoulders

The lady said no packaging no exchange I said he's 64 I explained I fixed his remote and that he still went and bought these 2 she said why so I shrugged my shoulders

I said I have receipts she then said il do one of them in goodwill I said thank you she then said il do both I thanked her & we were talking about dad's lol

My dad insults me as a joke putdowns etc I know for him its a coping mechanism of some kind of complex

I asked are you happy as I done this for you rather than you pay someone from my family to do it so he's now got a £20 gift voucher he bid me farewell with a jokey putdown

I waved at him from the cab like I was royalty lol

Were going to have tea & blt's & hope this owner goes looking for the dog

Were knackered
