My first post here.

I happened to notice this thread a few months ago. I thought, I hope I can have the opportunity to post here soon. So today is my one year mark and I just have a brief moment to leave a message here before I have to get on the treadmill.
Here is a link to my one year post in the daily thread.

Congrats, Goose. Welcome to the club

Itch, now that it's official, congrats on 5 years sober!

Looks like a beautiful stretch of weather ahead this week. Sunny and 70s.

Have a great Monday, overs!

Goose, congrats on your one year anniversary! Do you have any special plans?

I must say that reading a few of your "things I do not miss" list was a poignant reminder of the last couple years of my marriage. The first lesson that I took to heart after leaving my first AA mtg was that we are only as sick as our secrets and that those that do not recover seem to be incapable of honesty.

Thank you for your post on the joy of recovery.

Carlos

Welcome Goose. Your list brought back a few memories.

Congrats on five years Itchy!!!!! A thank you because you have helped me so much with your advice over the last year or so on my "journey".

SW--if you can't find a home for the little puppy you can send her my way.

We rang the local dog warden team & asked has anyone reported a missing dog yesterday or today but they havnt so next step is getting a vet to check her over for microchip she is so adorable were thinking this may be a foreign persons dog ?

Well she has warmth milk love food and she's on the bed with us trusting us a bit more

I'm surprised no one is looking for her ?

Goose - huge welcome

Everyone - sorry I've been MIA - been a very busy last few days post completion of med change over - mostly all good but some not so good stuff - mainly things to do with my estranged husband etc.... Psychological stuff going on that I *will* deal with (I must ...).

So, not read up on everyone but really wishing you all the very, very best

Congrats on 5 Itchy!

went to the Dr today, did not have to wait long thankfully. No obvious cause of my cough, but got some nasal spray in case it is from that source. Who knows?

Had them look at my arms which both have some issues in mobility and numbness. Left worse than right, odd in that I am right handed, but do use left for my computer mouse, for some reason. Anyway, seems there are some issues so off for tests. Dinner with my friend Gerry who is about to have 35 years sober. He was my inspiration and sort of a sponsor although I did not really do AA as it is supposed to be done.

Anyway, hope the cough goes away, have a last minute singing gig Sunday. A piece I know, but don't want to hack and snort thru it!

Overs

Hey!
Sorry to be so late! Lost a big post Saturday morning to each of you. Today is pretty cool! We slept in the new house for the first time Saturday. The house is still piles in each room, but the Internet is still going to the RV. However, my dual band wireless router sends a strong signal here to the house, and I am typing in the new house using the router wirelessly 200' and five walls away! Our BluRay player which also is dual band streams Netflix just fine! We just set up the spare 1080p BR TV with an over the air antenna on a table temporarily with our recliners just a few feet away and the BluRay. We sold the old small chest freezer because we got a new upright that's much bigger and easier to find stuff. The house came with new top end refrigerator with ice and water, industrial range, dishwasher, and trash compactor.

Anyway, the RV is getting emptied daily and still has a lot of stuff in it. So we are going to be at this for months, seriously. I've three TVs to wall mount, one a 60" plasma, the rest 40" 1080s. We hope they have the cable Internet transferred next week. So besides looking for bookcases and other office storage cabinets for my office, we are trying to figure where everything goes.

So I forgot until an hour ago and just finished dinner at10:30.

Thanks so much FBL! You've got a friend:

Thanks Carlos!
We did that roller coaster ride.

Wolf bud!
That pup won the lottery and never knew it. Your forgiving but never forgetting your Dad is perfect. If you let it go and keep him, just remember, he will be more than a little jealous of you.

IP,
My pleasure.

Dee,
Not much to say when saying it makes it less than we understand it to be. Danged if I don't try though.

Zip,
Good news! For foot and gig!

FG,
You are missed when gone, and warmly received when you can be here.

Mags,
You are a fine dear! Thanks but I did forget. Thanks.

Toots! I explained scab advertiser spammers to you in the one I lost. <sigh>

Welcome Goose!

I just found my youngest son who was not going to have kids changed his mind and they're preggers! My oldest had all girls. So maybe the Itchy name has a last chance to go on.

Drake and the rest if I missed thanking you its 'cause it's 11:56 pm amd my anniversary is about over.

I hope all with ills feel better soon.

Stay sober my friends.

Remember the Overs secret greeting!

Nite:
