Glee, I'm not giving advice though I applaud your efforts to deal with depression by being active. I've had depression for many years. In addition to meds, I found that I still got down starting somewhere between August and October. For me that turned out to be SAD - seasonal affective disorder, and I use special lights first thing in the morning. In addition to staying active, the lights make it easier for me to avoid the really miserable deep depressions.

Morning overs hope you're all ok.

I agree, Sassy, this time of year, we call doldrums, can be depressing in itself. A sad light might be worth a try Gleefan . Keep close, we're here for you.

Gotta fly today, speak later.

Good morning Overs.

I've been waiting for today because today I have been sober for 888 days and I like the number .

I have a light box for my SAD but nothing beats being outside in day light.

Have a good day everyone.

Congrats on 3 fat ladies Andy ( I imagine that is politically incorrect of me and apologise in advance if I have offended anyone of the female persuasion with a bmi over 30!)

Glee well done on being proactive with your first signs of depression, in Scotland we loose a lot of daylight in the winter so even working 9-5 a person can never see the sun. Then on days off if it's Dreich and drear it's not exactly uplifting. I am hoping for a cold sunny winter!

I am definitely coming back as one of Wolfies garden birds. Do they have access to a constant supply of clean water too? That is really important for them

Zip good to see you make room for us in your busy schedule!

Itchy sounds like the move is charging ahead. How is pa in law doing?

All good in Tootsville. Mr T is getting a new ( to him) car today so have to clear out the old one for exchange.

Good morning Overs! We have an early autumn warm up here for the week. A bit of needed rain too. Other than that, nothing new. So have a good one!

Gleefan, it sounds like you're being proactive & self aware. Yay!

Congratulations, Andy!

I ran out of coffee yesterday -- this post is caffeine-free!

888 Andy nice one.

Courage no coffee is not cool. Just brewing up some home-grind, french press organic coffee right now.

Work is so hectic. It's keeping me busy and I guess that's good. Just trying to do my best and keep ahead of it. Looking forward to the next step in life though. About four months to go before I've been here a year. That's my goal.

I got my canoe trip on Sunday. It was absolutely a perfect day, just the perfect beautiful fall day on a mirror-calm lake, surrounded by poplar forest with turning leaves and migrating birds all around us. It's a wetland area. Trumpeter swans, canada geese, all sorts of ducks, grebes, these things called mud-coots? or mud-hens. And others I can't name. One muskrat. And my dog loved it just sat quietly and caught the breeze and watched all the birds with great interest. (He is part nova-scotia duck toller

I'm coming up on four years. So weird that it started with one day, one week, one month, three months etc. I didn't even know if I'd make it a week. Well you all know what I'm talking about.
The other day I drove by a liquor store and had the clear vision of buying a bottle of whiskey and drinking it straight out of the bottle. Okaaaay.

My Internet is out from the cable and they are coming out today. Glee take care from yourself.

Toots you bet and the FIL is hanging in there but he is getting all his affairs in order and setting up power of attorney for my SH and her brother and the split of land and assets is already done. So he knows to take advantage of his more lucid periods.

RZ, Wolf, FBL, Mags and all I missed have limited bandwidth on my new Phone service. I am using it as a hot spot so I can use my regular desktop to connect through it. Technology is my friend!

That's great, Feeling-Good!

I will reach 14 months tomorrow :-). Although I'm probably the oldest of the Overs in age, I feel like a youngster in sober time.
