Morning overs

Lovely pics Wolfie , don't hurt yourself though putting those bird feeders in your tree!
I've not seen almost famous, will have to have a look at it. Thanks.

Itchy, when technology becomes part of our daily lives and we can't live without it, yes, we can tend to forget there are people who don't use them and don't know how to use them. We can take for granted what we have, sometimes. I'm doing ok thanks, hope you are, too.

I've got a programme on to, cops in Lincolnshire, amazing how many offenders they go to which are alcohol infused.

SW,
You bet. Saw it years ago and it was pretty good.

Mags,
We do take much for granted down to each breath of air we don't even consciously control. The Krebbs cycle churning out ATP from ADP and providing our fuel to burn. Much responsible for our very life is not only taken for granted, but we aren't even aware they are.

Watching the season premiere of SNL. Miley Cyrus hosting. I am still not sure about whether I like her celebrity persona or not.

10:50 PM here. Six hours behind GMT.

Glee, I've been meaning to comment on your h's job loss. So very sorry to hear that. I do, however agree that at some future time it may well turn out to be a positive. Sometimes the raspberries life hands us can lead to better things. That doesn't negate the fact that this is an emotionally difficult change!

I'm heading out shortly for a short trip back to my previous home area so may be out of touch for a day.

Have a good one, Overs!

Glee, sorry to hear about your hubby's job loss. I know it's tough, but try to keep positive thoughts. I was out of work for about 5 months back in 1991/92 and I thought my life was over, but then I went after my dream job and have been at it now for 23+ years. Sometimes it's darkest before the dawn.

FG, good to "see" you again!

Wolfie, nice job on feeding your feathered friends. One of my Dad's greatest joys was his series of bird feeders. I love to watch the various birds on my daily nature walks.

Speaking of walks, about time to go on my extended Sunday walk.

Have a great one, overs!

Good morning, All Overs!

SW, thanks for the pics of the backyard -- it's been a long time since I watched birds at a feeder like that. Have you ever tried a suet feeder? It feels like woodpecker time of year.

Morning overs

Have a good trip Sassy.

Wolfie, if you get a greater spotted woodpecker, now that will be a treat, they're beautiful! I always think goldfinches look like a smaller version of them. You've got quite a variety of feeders, to please many different breeds of birds, and the cost of filling them can get quite expensive!

Itchy, I agree with you, regarding taking for granted the air that we breathe, I'm one little lady who doesn't take it for granted anymore, especially after other night with my asthma attack, all I wanted to do was breathe air in and so difficult a job!

Have a good Monday overs.

Morning Guys

Hi Mags we only fill up the feeders when they start to empty, where do you buy your feed as we use pound shops & another shop but its quite cheap ? were thinking of going to pets at home as Glen needs a new harness anyway. If we buy the food in bulk hopefully itl be cheaper ?

It's a new week & I'm happy for it I'm enjoying the Eckhart tolle book just waiting on the brene brown book

Thanks for the support Overs.

The depression demon is rearing its ugly head for me. It had mostly relented for a while, but it comes and goes. I hadn't noticed it slowly creeping back in, but now that I look back, I've been less rigorous in my self care for the last few weeks.

It's not easy staying a step ahead, but experience shows that when I don't do the right things I slip into habits that perpetuate a depression.

So this morning I peeled myself out of bed rather than hit snooze over and over. I took a walk rather than have an extra cup of coffee. I did some deep restorative stretching rather than browse what other people are doing on Facebook. I plan to "force" myself to practice these habits every day this week.

I don't feel great right now for having exercised a little (or even feel good to be perfectly honest), but it takes a while to retrace a few weeks worth of bad habits. I know I did the right things.

Lol Drake. Just the norm here in UK wet wet wet. Lol.

It is cheaper in bulk Wolfie. You can save by 50%. I usually get mine from market. 15 kgs of sunflower hearts £20. Buying it by the £2 bag would cost me £40.

eBay have pet shops and you can get it bulk there too.

Having to bite my tongue and smile at work today. Lalalala.

Keep at it Gleefan, exercise always helps. Recognizing the signs and acting is the most important part. You're winning.
