D It was surreal the way this has panned out

Even stranger I had a heart to heart with Glen our Jack Russell and asked him to be a temporary big brother and pls don't bark & whine as he has to stay downstairs as I finished he licked my face wasn't expecting that & he has been really like exemply behaviour not a peep he has had a big walk mind but still it was surreal

I know what it's like to lose a dog & although we havnt heard from the owner yet I'm sure we will & if we hear nothing tomorrow we'll start postering while taking glen out

For the time being its awesome tho I've never ever had a female dog let alone puppy lol & now I want a female dog me & Mrs sw are smitten & we will get our own puppy once we return Dotty to her rightful owner

Hey Wolfie, was it you or Dorothy that was getting belly rubs from Mrs SW? Hehe! Dorothy is cute.
Croissant, I'm glad you're enjoying the book.
Casey, glad that you're feeling more settled.
I went to an AA meeting this am. The speaker was awesome. I went for a late breakfast afterwards with a lady I've got to know a little from meetings. She's a little older than me and has 10 years sobriety. Have been busy with chores all day, but I'm feeling good that I'm attending to stuff instead of always procrastinating.
Hang in there, Ladybug!

Pondered on the saying for a while. It can speak volumes if applied to certain aspects of life.

She was an Australian Terrier. I hope you end up keeping her , she would have such a good home. I'm glad you scared the crap out of that little shittt with the stick .

Yes, cute little dog, SW.
Going to be tough not to fall in love with her. Especially if the owner does not show for a while.

I'm really good thanks Crois & Leshar. Still going strong.

I worked all weekend and only had a craving once .

I'm all outa cheesecake so I must get one before I pick Holly up at 7.30 tonight from work.
That tangy lemon , nips the craving in the butt , stat

Had a really stressful day at work yesterday . A patient went outside for a cigarette and got stung by bee . He staggerered in with the bee in his hand and his epipen in the other.

He was too shaken to administer it himself so the nurse put it straight into his leg.

He staggered to room slouched in the chair and started convulsing.
I was right in the middle of it as I'd just cleaned his room & was talking to him.

He went into anaphylaxis . I had to yell out for the oxygen trolley , the emergency ambos were called in and it was awful seeing him fit and gurgle for air as his airways started closing over.

We almost lost him 4 times .

Oh lord it's the scariest thing Ive witnessed in my 8 years there . We have had patients die of course but not one that comes in for a knee reconstruction and it just about to be discharged.

He is 53 , same age as me. We got on great. I don't know the outcome.
But it just go to show, any day could be your last , why fuzz it out with alcohol.

I want to be present , not in a fog.

I hope he lived through this.

Life is good it's a gift . I need to remember this. It showed me how fragile life truly is . 10 mins before , I'm laughing and chatting with him minutes later he's almost dead over a friggen bee sting !!!!!

Unbelievable .

Much love to each and every one of you xxxx
