Class of July 2013 Part 22
Do I miss Dotty/Tinker ? of course in 3 days that lil lady stole my heart
I know il bump into her from time to time as she lives round the corner & I pass where she lives everyday almost
I think I done amazing as she is back where she belongs with her family, no dog kennel charges & nightly fees, no hassle with dog wardens etc
Plus she was kept warm fed and cleaned & she fancied the pants off Glen our JR which I personally found hilarious as he was scared of her Glen is scared of nothing but a tiny female yorkie oh that was priceless
Mrs sw wants a puppy & now so do I were thinking about a rescue dog

Haha, sw....extra love in your hearts for a new doggie, that's nice.
Aww Leshar.xx I was scared of my own tears for a while. Now I just let them come. The other day I even passed an old holiday spot my ex husband and I used to go when I was very young, and I had a little cry for him too. Haha. I just let them come and know they are good for me. I did read our body releases stress toxins when we cry too, so why not!
I think we just find it odd when we probably only did it when drunk or blacked out. To be present, and think, oh this emotion or memory is going to make me cry, and letting it happen, is quite new territory for me. I don't remember crying freely for a very long time.

That's such good advice Crois , as always .
Ive done a LOT of that since my relapse. It's nice to be able to have that release whilst sober & not drunk. I always feel so much better after.
We should call you Doctor Crois lol xxx

Hiya Julyers
Casey how are you feeling after you bad day the other day , hope you've settled and are back to your cheery little self :-) no matter what , we all have to look over our shoulders for the rest of our lives.
We NEVER know when that bloody AV will rear its ugly head.
Often , it can be when we are at our happiest and most confident. We can never get complacent.
I hope you've all had a good day / evening
Luv you all xx

Hi gang.
Hehe, Wolfie, that made me laugh about Dotty fancying Glen!
Croissant, thanks, I feel exactly like you said wrt crying. I must be super pure by now! Seriously though, I cry and miss Larry every day, mornings are the worst, but I'm glad I'm sober. I had serious cravings last night, just wanted to throw in the towel. I was tired after the drive and lonely. I was also watching "Jack Taylor" on Netflix, it's about an ex Irish policeman, an alcoholic, and there's tons of drinking, drink references in it. But, it's excellent drama in my opinion. I love and miss hearing the Irish accents. Now the Irish are some witty folk!
It's Tiki's 12th birthday today. I'm going to give him a shower. I spritz him with water and then blow dry him. He loves it! Shampoo and set!
I guess we have to take it one day at a time. It's hard atm but the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.
Love to all.

Been going to AA meetings daily all week. That keeps me a little more grounded.
Time to get ready for work now. Hope everyone has a safe and sober start to their weekend!
Hey everybody,
It's been a while as I've been quite busy.
It's really nice weather here this weekend. Nice cool crisp mornings and sunny all day. Resting a bit and watching a little TV. Thought I would chime in and read some of the post here.

Casey, what's the downside of night shifts that puts your not drinking at risk? I think I missed the reason why night shifts bother you? Or is it just the upset to your sleeping pattern or being around drunk people (I think you said you work in hospitality?)
Hi guys, thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes to Tiki!
Hey, Bob, I'm glad to see you posting. Missed seeing you post.
I'm going on an art studio tour tomorrow, one of my friends, an artist, is in it. On Sunday, I'm going to see a play. Doing these things alone, but I'm glad I've made plans, it's good to get out of the house.
