Class of August 2015 Part 5
So last night I used my drink tickets to get club soda with lime. Hubby got wine along with the other 250 people, and it didn't bother me at all. I drove home and thought about how nice it was to drive that late at night.
I get that totally! I took mine to buy him some beer the other night. I don't know why other than he works really hard and I wanted to be nice to him. It didn't bother me. Completely a shock.
Of course I am offered drinks a lot. I just say "no thanks I don't drink anymore". Unless they ask "why" I leave it at that.
Got one person who says "Well I'll just wait around until you fall off the wagon and I'll be there to laugh in your face because I will be the one to notice you're drinking". Oh, how nice of you...People! Lol They're funny aren't they?

Sounds like one more great reason to stay sober to me...
I'm bored. I have no idea what to do this Friday night. I'm not ready to watch a movie yet, I'm not sure if I can handle watching somebody drink...I suppose I could watch Jurassic World with the kid, or some zombie apocalypse movie with my husband...
What are you guys doing tonight?

Hey Patricia, I went to the gym after work (had to push myself to go, but felt good afterward). Just had dinner and am now settling down for some recovery reading (just started "Second Chances: Top Executives Share their Stories of Addiction and Recovery" by Gary Stromberg and Jane Merrill). Nothing too exciting here, but it means I can go to sleep early and wake up refreshed (and not hungover!) in the morning.
I hope that you had a nice evening!

Good morning group
Sat morning here in the uk. Woke up at 6.30am. I live for the mornings now. I've been having so many thoughts that I will be able to moderate in the future. Had my second counselling session yesterday and I thought ' yes this will sort me out, I'll become a better person, more together and mindfull......and I'll relearn how to drink sensibly..........
Patricia I've been feeling bored in the evenings too, I used to love letting loose with a bottle or two of wine and now it's Netflix, Netflix and Netflix and I'm feeling a little flat. What shall we do tonight?
Big hugs to everyone x

I hope everyone had a good week.. tough week fo me- struggling with finances and looking for a new job- VERY tempted to drink a few times but managed to resist. I have an interview AND 30 days on Tuesday so hopefully things will get better soon.
Wishing everyone a great weekend filled with smiles and sobriety!

Hey guys! Just checking in for the day! God is doing some real good work on my soul and I feel so full of life hopefulness and happiness. We are in SC getting loaded! Say prayers for our safe travels home! People don't know how to drive and it's dangerous in a tractor trailer loaded or not. About an 8 hour drive back to Ky. Check in later even if it's just to read on yalls day!! ((Hug))
