Hi all. I'm doing good. Happy to say that alcohol hasn't been on my mind as much in the last few days and I've enjoyed that. Staying busy with my son and work. I love being able to really be focused on my baby boy. He finished his homework a while ago and I was there helping but not doing it for him as my ex had accused me of in the past (sigh) then we read Clark the Shark Dares to Share. It has been a really nice couple of days and I hope everyone is doing well.

It is sooo nice to spend time with loved ones AND be engaged. No more faded memories. No more wishing they would leave me alone.

My boys must have thought I was a lunatic. Some days hyper happy and others hyper depressed or short fused.

Angie, your post brought a smile to my face. Glad you are feeling better and enjoying time with your son

I'm back. Drank the last three nights. Yuck. I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I can't. What I can do is take a step forward today by not drinking. I know the AV will get loud this afternoon, but I know how to respond.

I took my first dose of Wellbutrin this morning and I'm a little freaked out about it. Not knowing how it will make me feel is unnerving. But I read the instructions and know to call my dr if I have suicidal thoughts! I think I need to slow down and take that one day at a time as well.

Tomorrow I fly to DC to begin a week long vacation. Going to stay with my sister in DC, then spend a few days in NYC, then a few days with my aunt and uncle in Connecticut. I always get anxious about traveling; I need to keep reminding myself to just take things slowly. I know I'll enjoy myself, just need to not think so hard about it!

Well, that's all for now. I'll check in later today. Thank you all for being here. October 1 has a nice day one ring to it looking forward to making progress one day at a time.

Swim...
You shouldn't notice much of anything with Wellbutrin. I personally only feel it when I don't take it. I'll be depressed and not very motivated. Early on you may feel something different. Maybe a bit wired. It takes a couple weeks to reap full benefits, so be sure to take daily.

Man...wish I was going to CT. Please bring us back the following:
Clams
Lobsters
Lobster stew
Lobster rolls
A FRIED seafood platter

Thank you in advance.

Safe travels Kim. Hope you find the med works. I'm not going to offer any suggestions because I don't know how that stuff works but I really hope you get your inner peace and don't hit the booze.

Take care all

Kim, bring a raincoat! Going to be pretty wet on the East Coast.
Enjoy spending sober time with your family!

Thanks guys. Yep, I've got my umbrella packed!

Feeling good tonight. No cravings. No anxiety about traveling. Ready for a vacation and hopefully a new outlook on stuff I'm going through right now. I'll check in with you all everyday. Hope you all are well!

Man. Long day doing inventory at Lockheed Martin facility. Counted thousands upon thousands of washers, screws, buttons, switches....

11hrs. That blew chunks.

The cool part was I was right next door to the Good Year Blimp hanger. I love seeing the blimp. I would have popped my pants if the huge doors opened and the blimp took off while I was there.

Work at 3:00am this morning. It's been raining almost two days straight from the hurricane off the coast. Had to turn the heat on for the first time as we hit the 40's here, after being in the 80's earlier this week. None for me today. Just lots of coffee.

Just popping in. I've made 4 weeks today. Up and down but determined.

Oh and all the New England talk has brought back pleasant memories of working at a summer camp in Maine many moons ago.

Congratulations Midton! Getting that first month really is an amazing milestone! It will get easier. For me it did, especially after 3 months! Stay strong mate!
