Inc - I can relate to your wish to undo the past. When I accepted that I made mistakes during my addiction, I was able move forward in a good direction that I could be proud of.

BlueFairy - Thanks for the practical recommendations. I love your suggestion on finding gratitude in all of this. When trouble strikes it's second nature for me to focus on the problems, but all that ever got me was drunk. Gratitude is so important!
I'm so glad that not only am I not a burden to my husband during this challenging time for him, but I can be a role model. Thanks everyone for giving me the support I need to be a role model; I'm touched by everyone's generosity.
Today I met with my sponsor to work on Step 3. I still feel like a square peg in a round hole at AA meetings sometimes. I'm not making the connections that I usually make with other people, but the principles of recovery are compelling, so I keep going.
Keep on keeping on Undies. It's not always easy but it's worth it!

I haven't been on here much at all lately due to crazy stress from work and pain from my disease. I had the thought of drinking cross my mind twice this week, which scares the heck out of me. Thankfully, I was able to HALT and think about the situation. I am proud to say I have a new milestone of 90 days today! Very glad I didn't give into that sneaky AV.

Yesterday was a very good day off. I had no real thoughts of wanting a drink. I will stay vigilant to day and enjoy my day off. Thanks for all of your support and positive thoughts.

Glee I am here and things are better. I have learned so much from everyone. I put my skills into use and pulled myself out of this funk! ((Hug))!

Just waking up and getting ready for another day in wompland.
One of my newer friends has 1 year sober today. He's having a dinner party tomorrow for it and I'm not sure if I'm going to go only bc I won't know anyone and everyone else there will all know each other pretty well.
Then my best friend will have a year sober Monday. I'm really happy for her. I got some tickets for a hip hop group that's gonna be in town next month as a gift.
Looking forward to a wompfree day Sunday. Womps been a lil crazy this week but trying to keep a positive attitude. I had to write up 2 different people this week which I hate to do but it was necessary.

Gnik, huge congrats on 10 months sober. 
(((Hugs))), Key :-). I'm good. In my retirement community (have been here nearly 3/4 of a year), everyone is used to me not drinking so thankfully they don't even ask any more. That makes it so much easier.

Hey, Undies!
Saturday in work with my colleagues is a particularly tricky one for me. They all countdown the seconds to close, ready to start drinking the night away. Two of the guys I'd put in the same boat as the rest of us, although they show no inclination to stop. It's a shame because I like spending time with them, bit not at the expense of my sanity, health and ultimately my wallet, too!!
Tonight I'll be leaving promptly, ready to go home for a nice, relaxing evening with my wife and daughter.
Hope you all have as enjoyable a Saturday!

Good morning everyone. I easily made it through my days off sober and it is back to work again. I'm going to the gym first. My wife is doing a garage sale today with a neighbor lady. She has committed to stay sober with me and is doing good on this as well. That helps a lot too.
