Wanted you all to know , thinking about each of you and sending good vibes your way . Well done to everyone who stayed sober for another day . If not this forum I don't know how I would be functioning! Xxx

That's exactly what I do. For every beer I don't drink, I eat a chocolate.
I sometimes wonder if it's a blood sugar issue. The less I drink, the more I wake up in the middle if the night and raid the refrigerater. It's odd.
Congratulations to everyone that stayed sober today.

I'll stick with the August 2015 Class--even if we are in a slower portion of the forum--because August 2015, not September 2015, is the month I stopped drinking. However, I will certainly post encouragement to members of the September class.
I'm the DS forum mod and I gotta say it irks me when people say that, even in jest.
It's this forums sister forum, designed to lighten the load here so newbies won't get lost or overwhelmed.
The Daily Support Forum is one of the busiest forums we have.
To anyone who doesn't know, we move this thread there at the beginning of the new month, and the new months thread (Class of September 2015) takes your place here.
You guys stay together - nothing else changes.
I know Troy was joking but I really hope noone moves to September simply because of the forum its in - that defeats the whole idea.
You guys have a bond, noone wants to mess around with that
I'll put plenty of links in so people won't get lost - always look at the last post in the thread if you're unsure.
D
I think the point of the "class" threads is to bring people together who quit around the same time. To me, being in August implies that I quit in August, but there's no reason we all can't step in and encourage the September class, too!

I am not sure what to call this except my decision day. I am 30 days off a very high dose of methadone. I thought suboxone to be the answer. It is not working out for me. I was only on it for a hot minute so my hope is to go all natural from here. I was so depressed when the subs did not help and it finally hit me. why am I doing this -Stop- right now. I can get better it just may take a while. My hope is to feel better each day!
Looking good August!
I'm 4 months sober after being an all day drunk.
Trust me....it keeps getting better. If I can do it, you can do it.

Sorry Dee, and didn't mean that in a negative way. That's just my mind after working too many hours straight. Don't mind me.

Methadone is unfortunately still an issue as it takes so long to leave the body fully. so that withdrawal is still on the burner and probably will be for a couple more weeks. hopefully I caught the suboxone in time. I am not sure if I will be having any issues from the 3 weeks I had been taking them. tomorrow will be my first day with no opiates of any type in 20 years.
thank you for your response. I am not certain of what tomorrow will bring.
