Drake, best of luck in your job search.

Carlos, keep up the great work!

Itch, yep, grass ain't always greener.

Feeling a bit down again today. This health insurance business is weighing on my mind. I never heard back from my agent last week...sounds like his hands are tied with the new health care laws. I plan to talk to my boss this week about continuing to cover half the cost...hope he agrees. This hot and humid weather is also wearing me down. We're supposed to really cool off this coming week, so am trying to hang on for now.

Drake, I always get stuck on 'why do you want this job?' Duh. My mum always reminded me, they're all human (they all go to toilet!sorry!).

Feeling-good, I hope your body adjust with the medication change over , take care.

Wolfie, are you showing mys Wolfie the Kung fu moves on the film or in person? Nice one!

Hi Carlos, Sassy, toots, Dee, and all the overs.

In film Mags it was a awesome 5* movie it had comedy but then it got down to business with Japanese masters in all different styles vs a chinese master

The martial arts was out of this world if that's what their doing in 1978 i can't wait to order a recent decent Chinese kung fu movie from China

I know there are are Hollywood kung fu movies with the awesome jet li but this was in its own league it had everything 'Heroes of the east' great movie

Were now watching Seven psychopaths to fall asleep to apparently it's a comedy

Goodnight Overs wishing everyone a nice start to the week tomorrow

Wolfie, did you ever seen any of the Kung fu series with David carradine in them. They was brilliant in their time but I have t seen them for years. We watched em as kids so you may not have seen them. I remember it being more thought provoking than action, tho.

Goodnight overs.

Hi Overs!

I've been enjoying every bit of this 3 day weekend. It's going way too fast!

I found out today that a really sweet couple I know are doing an incredibly generous thing for a mutual friend. Our friend is recently divorced and her credit was ruined by her ex, her house is about to be foreclosed, her entry level job doesn't pay much, and she is struggling to secure a rental home. This couple bought a house for her to rent at a price she can afford and is going to teach her to repair her credit and organize her finances. In the future they stand to make some money on the deal, but the immediate 3 years they are simply helping her get back on her feet. Their generosity really warms my heart.

I'm grateful to know people who are willing to humbly offer their gifts to others in all sorts of creative ways - just like the recovering alcoholics who showed me how to get back to my life after I stopped drinking. I hope my HP will continue to point me in the direction to make a difference.

Good morning, Overs! Hmmm, well, actually it's the middle of the night here.

Glee, it's wonderful to hear about that couple who is helping your friend. When I hear things like that it reaffirms my belief that that are some very smart and very giving people in this world.

Mags and Wolfie, I used to watch those old martial arts movies - loved them!

FBL, sorry to hear about your health insurance issues. It's sometimes hard to believe that there is such inequality in health care in our country. I hope your boss will agree to pay half.

Drake, I also would hire you in a New York minute! I'll be thinking of you.

Hi RZ, FeelingGood, Itchy, Wandering Toots, Carlos, IP and everyone else!

Hi guys, had a busy few days with trips out and abut, been here reading though.

I remember doing a psychosometric test for a job I had applied for - didn't get past that and yet the job was for a delivery driver taking pharmaceuticals from. The pharmacy to rest homes. Let's see... I am an advanced driver having qualified as a driving instructor, have driven vehicles of all sized courtesey of working on the council and labouring, ran a home for people with mental disorders so have in depth knowledge of dealing with medication and with those of a sensitive disposition, passed a police check and have a clean driving licence. Yet because I didn't feel any of the options on a multiple choice were fair examples of my actions in a specific situation ( ie if one suspected a work colleague of stealing!) I failed. Too much emphasis is put on what answers we write to a question and not enough opportunity is given for a face to face where common sense would allow for a better judgement of a persons fit.
Good luck Drake, I would definitely employ you, having known you here for so long I know you a re a decent, caring and responsible person who would be a credit to any work environment.

Personally my plan is to win the lottery and retire. Of course I need to buy a ticket first.......

Glee I love to hear about people doing something for someone with no thought of personal gain. If we all did even one small thing like that for someone we know the world would be a much better place.

Itchy I doubt I will live to see a 43rd anniversary, but then this is the second Mr T, the first I trialed for 12 years before deciding to upgrade to a higher performance model with improved reliability.

Not feeling my best today I feel I've been fighting depression hard today it didn't stop me from having 2 heavy workouts I thought all the exercise would help lift my mood but sometimes my depression can be like that heavy for a day

It might be everything but in my eyes everything I'm doing is good I can be my own worst critic sometimes lol

It will pass and I know that it's not the end of the world....nobody feels good all the time

I might feel crap but I've done awesome today its even therapeutic writing that

My alopecia is returning which is annoying but I already have an apt and today I rang up and said if there are any cancellations call me

I also booked a GP apt as I havnt seen the Dr in around a month

So in all a good day just feel depressed

Spk later guys

Wolf

Rainy day here, I am sure some are annoyed that their holiday plans are a washout.

I got up at my usual 5AM but laid around until almost 9. That was rare. Did some shopping and am going to make some soup with the garden vegetables. I sometimes don't get enough for a batch (like a handful of green beans and 3-4 okra pods) so they go to a grand chicken noodle soup.

Going to make roasted salsa verde with the tomatillos. Garden season winding down.... and that is fine.

Have a good one Overs!

Hi overs 2.34 am. Must be good evening Sassy? Hehe.

Wolfie, I loved kill bill. Age old film of a mothers love. In the big fight scene in the hall, where the little girl nearly has her. Well, there's some Japanese writing on the wall. Did you know it says 'kill bill'. A bit of humour from Quentin Tarantino!!!

The spiders have started coming in from the cold, I'm being invaded!

Ooh Drake, roasted salsa verde with the tomatillo, sounds delicious!

Hope Labour day was good for everyone. I certainly laboured well on Monday at work!

Wolfie, hope you're feeling better today.

Toots, hi guys!! Lol. What part of Italy is that from? What happened to Signore, Signora and my favourite, Signorina, go on say you're in France and my memory has lapsed!

I was driving through a bridge at work yesterday. I drive through it every day. It has one lane so has traffic control with traffic lights. I acknowledged for the first time that I could see properly. (As good as a 57 year old can!) I used to slow down ridiculously when I drank as I couldn't see the road when the bright changed to dark. If my husband had drove, he drove through normally, but when I drove I felt almost blind! But yesterday, bright sun, to pitch black and my eyes focused as they should. I'm sure this was the effects of the booze in the past, even though I was sober whilst driving!

Hope everyone is ok. Will try to catch up before work later.
