Enjoy that hot tub, LB. Will be snow on the ground before long.
And yes: go for a job. You need to be working in your field, I think. You need that engagement.

Was off to the Big City to be with grandkids. Much play in parks. Pushing kids on swings, catching them at the bottom of slides, etc. Perfect autumn scenes, blowing fallen yellow and red leaves. Warm temps. Joggers along the lake boardwalk. Great few days. Even took in the Turner exhibit at the local Gallery. JMW Turner. Pre-impressonist guy from England, early to mid 1850's. Then watched the film Mr. Turner when we got back to the kid's house. Culture! Love it. Less available in our little rural abode. I feel a bit like I'm doing Show and Tell here. My Weekend.

I just lost a post????

anyway, sounds like a good day jr...

went to a party last night and it was a lot of drinking, so after a half hour I disappeared to home, watched netflix for an hour and fell assleep... woke up at 0330, jumped in hot tub to look at the stars...

You still on course AA? it cost 1330 to get the hot tub fixed... but she wanted it.

Vet, haven't heard from you in a while...

got some things done, it has been a rainy day and it feels like it from a standpoint of hanging in. Got some more done in the garage. I have a LOT of stuff. We had that discussion before...

It seems that my binary translation app has neglected to include any spaces. Which is probably a significant lapse, right?

your binary app works just fine...

let us no longer struggle, let us no longer be what held us back.

Leaves, leaves, and more leave. Wind, wind, and more wind.

Going in to D.C. next week is going to be sketchy. It will be buttoned down like Fort Knox after Paris.

hope all are well,
yeah, Vet, I imagine things will tighten up around there - everywhere. cause and effect...

it was crazy windy here last night - still...

I have a few mandatory tasks that need to be addressed - the wind prompted me to take care of a few things outside today... plus some adjusting (winterizing) inside as well
have a good weekend

Got lots of branches I think I'll take to the dump today. I'll let the wind take the leaves to the neighbors'...

Gig tonight. First official paid performance since NYE last year before my back went wrong. Kind of nervous even though it's a casual dinner crowd scene. Haven't played solo, actually, in over a year.

Kind of went to a dark place for a while lately. Binged on sugar and now back to cleaning out. Round and round the cycle of madness and glee. Sometimes my sitting meditation feels like I'm holding on for dear life and blazing headlong through a galaxy of mental mind fields; other times it's like a tranquil mountain lake.

My old dog rallied a bit, but she still can't really walk. She can usually pee or poo without falling, and when she does she tends to fall forward so she rarely lands in it. I think she avoids that for the same reasons we hope she'll avoid that. I swear she gets a "grossed out" look even when she just steps in it. Such an awesome soul that girl. We can tell our boy is freaked out about it. He seems sad, too. She's been at his side since he was a puppy (12 years). He's gonna lose it when she passes. I predict lots and lots of vomit - most often on the couch.

Hope y'all are well.

Enjoy the gig, Z. A PAID gig, yet!

I think many people suffer mood darkness this time of year (in the Northern hemisphere) as the days shrink and the temps drop. And I gather that you are not one whose spirit is buoyed by a good trip to the mall to soak up Christmas cheer. Better to hang in on the sitting meditations, I think.

Tough to witness our old dogs age into their final days. All the best on that one.

The gig was a poopdollar. Instead of cash they gave me "art." But it was fun to play. Early, painless, and short.
