Hey, checking in again...did ok in the team (relay) triathlon this morning! We won the relay division. I kept a pretty good pace on my leg (the run) in spite of the binge of Tues-Thurs. I feel pretty good now, it's a good reminder that if I want to run faster and improve my endurance, drinking anything but water, coffee, tea, and seltzer is foolish. Recommitting to keeping this 24 hours sober here in beautiful (and hot) Utah!
Day 2 begins...and it is way too early! 4:26am in Utah! Up early on a Saturday so my husband and I can leave by 5am to get to 5:30am registration for our team triathlon. Good thing I managed to not drink yesterday. We'll see how the previous two days of excessive vodka intake affect my running later this morning...
Grateful that I didn't pick up yesterday and looking forward to another 24 free from booze!
Congrats, Casey, on 100days!!!!!

Congrats Casey on 100 days !!!
Got over Saturday and I'm off to early Mass.
After round 20 months total abstinence I fell for the one drink trap for a while.
Silly me! Was opting for 1 stubby (375 ml)s a day. Now totally abstaining, I'm saving $4 a day, 135 empty calories and all those nasty chemicals in the 10.4 grams of alcohol etc etc. Besides one can go to two> four> eight.......you know the rest: not a good option for old Bub.
Have a good sober/clean day everyone! 24!

Mark1014 brought up how the nutria are very similar to the capybara and how much damage they can cause. I was watching a National Geographic documentary awhile back. It mentioned, that another rodent species, the Gambian African Pouch rat, has become a problem in the Southern United States and caused for a lot of destruction. Unlike their domestic rat counterparts, they are much larger and not considered to be a true rat. In contrast, they are considered to be a uniquely African branch of muroid rodents. They differ from their domestic rat counterparts in that they can carry food in its pouches and they live 5-7 years, while domestic rats live to be ~2 years of age and do not have pouches. However, they are similar in that they are social creatures and live in groups. African Pouch rats have been trained and used to detect land mines
I always look forward to seeing each and every one of you here each day! I hope to see you all here again tomorrow!

Checking in tonight. Going for another 24 hours at 4:50p CST.
Congratulations to NYMets and Ardy on reaching new milestones today! To celebrate both of your awesome accomplishments, today we have a Reese’s Brownie Ice Cream Cake. Keep up the great work!
Bobbi-enjoy your card game! The pineapple upside down cake sounds wonderful. By any chance, do they have a plague card?
Ardy-went to the fair today and thought of you.
