Marcher, my central AC/furnace is in a closet with my water heater. When I got home last night it was raining in that closet. The water heater upstairs was leaking.

Yes, toots, written just for you!

Trachy I hope the AC/furnace is the same unit or it must be very crowded in there! Do you mean a reverse cycle air conditioner when you say "AC/furnace"? When you Americans write "furnace" I have a vision of an incinerator with a fire in it in your "basements".

We don't have"basements" or attics in most of our houses, this is what I think of when I hear "basement".

Haha marcher! We didn't have basements in California either, so I really wanted one when I moved to Ohio. My apartment has one, it's kinda scary. I was storing some things down there, then my hoaxer neighbor filled it with crap so after a couple years of avoidance I got my stuff sorted and out. What a relief!

Good morning Marchers from the breezy, yellow and blue arctic Paradise. August is here with a vengeance, winds and dry weather are common this month so we are having a typical time. I love the anticipation of the next eight months of my favourite weather.

I actually found the car yesterday when I parked it on the street, I remembered what I was driving and what colour it is.

Have a good day peeps.

Sounds like good progress, Marcher :-). You are sounding like you are back to the Marcher we all know and love.

Trachy - how are you doing today?

Budd, is your brain still fried?

A lovely day/restful night to all.

I'm fine, Sass, thanks. How are you?

Where did my earlier post go? It's missing.

Marcher, my combination unit is a heat pump for AC, and a gas furnace for heat. The water heater is gas, too. Wish I had a gas stove.

I'm good, Trachy :-). On Friday I'll hit one year sober! I did have one very brief slip but decided this once not to restart my count.

Marcher, I think I can safely speak for all of us when I say that I think we would all love to eat at your table!

This is for Sass and all of us, but most especially for Sass in celebration of one year, one fabulous year of sobriety.

I adore this clip, Pavarotti and so many other names we know are in this old 90s clip. I love the guts of Michael Bolton to take on Nessun Dorma with Pavarotti, I believe his "impromptu" performance took four weeks of intensive preparation.

When I look at this old fave it's like all of us gathering for a sing-song, with Dee orchestrating us via Pavarotti or the conductor.

It's also proof that, if a team of people work together under benevolent co-ordination, each and every one can shine. Take a bow Sass my sweet, this is your moment in the sun. Like Michael Bolton you may have started nervously, full of scared anticipation, unsure and terrified but, like Bolton, you've shone momentously and with clarity.

I'm so proud to call you my friend.

Wonderful clip, Marcher!

August 7, 2014 (one year ago tomorrow!) was my first sober day for the rest of my life. Life changing and there's no way I could possibly have done this without all of my fabulous Marchers.

My life has changed for the better in so many different ways!

Well, the accreditation inspection is over. Yesterday they showed up at my facility 3 hours before they were supposed to and I had 1 machine down and 30 kids on their way in. I didn't get much of a chance to talk with them, which was good, they got to see me handle a bunch of kids, most of which had never bowled before.

Had to wait til today to find out how we did. I havent heard about individual facilities, but as a whole we scored 4.5 out of 5 starts and passed the test.

That should be the end of the 12-14 hour days I've been pulling in preparation for this visit.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Congratulations, Budd! I'm sure you showed a lot of grace under fire!

My husband is in the mountains this week. Last time we were there, the peach tree was loaded with peaches. He saw a squirrel gnawing on them this morning.

Now look who's out there:

Good morning Marchers from a sunny blue Paradise with double figure temperature! Ken good on you, I really admire how you went so hard at that process, you deserve that good outcome.

Gilmer I'm hoping that I'm am merely a blind old bat and that that black animal is your dog and not a bear!

Have a good day peeps.
